MI London full squad after The Hundred auction [Source: X]
The Hundred 2026 auction is officially over, and the eight-team tournament has filled out their squads for the upcoming edition of the 100-ball tournament. Among them, MI London Men, owned by Surrey County Cricket Club and Reliance Business Ventures Limited, have gathered some big names to fill in their squad in the auction.
MI London were very speculative with their choices and won the bids for almost every player they targeted, except for only three players, namely Danny Briggs, Jordan Cox, and Jordan Thompson.
Having 15 out of 16 players in their squad, MI Men boast 11 local players and four overseas cricketers, with one pre-signing and three retained players.
Let's take a look at the list of retained players by MI and their roles in the team.

With players like Sam Curran, Will Jacks, and Afghanistan's mystery spinner Rashid Khan booked, MI London already looked set to build a major upgrade in their squad after they drafted Nicholas Pooran in the pre-signings for £175,000.
The four retained players represent almost all-rounder capabilities except for Nicholas Pooran, who is the West Indies powerhouse with the bat and gloves behind the stumps.

The franchise was also active in the auction with their highest-ever spend on Tom Curran, whom they purchased for £260,000. After a bidding war with multiple franchises, MI started Tom Curran's bid, which was later fought over by Southern Brave and Birmingham Phoenix.
Nevertheless, the ultimate battle with Trent Rockets led MI London to bag the talented all-rounder from England.

MI London The Hundred 2026 Auction Review
Overall, London's auction boasts a pretty balanced squad with not overly aggressive firepower in their side, yet something that calls for a decent strike.
In the auction, MI spent a total of £1.01 million, while in the retentions, they spent £950K, with a purse value now left of just £8,000. Nevertheless, they have filled their minimum number of players required for the Hundred 2026 edition.
The highlights of their buys will be James Vince and West Indies all-rounder Sherfane Rutherford, whom they roped in for £100K. James Vince was roped in by MI for £190,000, with his bidding starting at just £100,000.
After Manchester Super Giants started the bidding war, MI London joined in with London Spirit to take away the bid for the highest amount, as Super Giants had to let go of James in the Hundred 2026 auction.
Jason Roy was also roped in for his base price of £31,000. Ollie Pope has been the sole wicketkeeper-batter for MI, whom they won in the bidding at the base price.
With Richard Gleeson, Callum Parkinson, and Nathan Sowter present, the bowling firepower is strengthened with Trent Boult leading the pack for a solid £100,000.
