India recently completed a successful T20 World Cup 2026 campaign, and the focus now moves toward maintaining momentum. With multiple tours and formats lined up, the team is preparing for a packed schedule across formats.

Team India’s Busy International Schedule After IPL 2026

According to the international cricket calendar, India’s next assignments begin shortly after the IPL 2026 final, with preparations for multi-format series including Tests, ODIs, and T20Is across various overseas tours and home fixtures. 

Here is the list of confirmed Team India schedule after IPL 2026-

Afghanistan Tour of India 2026

• Date - 6 June to 20 June
• Fixtures - 1 Test and 3 ODIs

India begins its post-IPL 2026 international season at home with a short but balanced series across formats. The Test match kicks off the campaign, followed by three ODIs to complete the tour, with squads already announced.

India Tour of Ireland 2026

• Date - 26 June to 29 June
• Fixtures - 2 T20Is

A brief T20I series in Ireland acts as a transition into the more intense away fixtures that follow immediately.

India Tour of England 2026

• Date - 1 July to 19 July
• Fixtures - 5 T20Is and 3 ODIs

One of the year’s most high-profile series, India tours England for eight white-ball matches. It will be crucial for squad testing, while also marking the real start of preparation for the 2027 ODI World Cup.

India Tour of Zimbabwe 2026

• Date - 23 July to 26 July
• Fixtures - 3 T20Is

A short T20I assignment in Zimbabwe provides opportunities for rotation and exposure for younger players.

India Tour of Sri Lanka 2026

• Date - August (not officially confirmed) 
• Fixtures - 2 Tests and 3 T20Is (not officially confirmed)

A confirmed away tour of Sri Lanka with dates yet to be announced. The Test series is expected and crucial for India in the World Test Championship context, while the T20I leg remains uncertain.

India tour of Afghanistan 2026

• Date- 13 September to 19 September
• Fixtures- 3 T20Is

As per a latest report from Times of India, for the 1st time, the Afghanistan Cricket Board will host India for a 3-match T20I series. The interesting part is that India's Arun Jaitley Stadium will act as the host venue. The 3 T20Is are due to be played on September 13, September 16, and September 19, pending BCCI confirmation.

Asian Games 2026

• Date - 17 September to 3 October

Cricket is officially part of the 2026 Asian Games. India will likely send a strong T20I squad, aiming to defend their gold medal, while the tournament could also test a potential new T20I captain.

West Indies Tour of India 2026

• Date - 27 September to 17 October
• Fixtures - 5 T20Is and 3 ODIs

A full white-ball home series against West Indies, forming an important part of India’s preparation cycle for upcoming ICC tournaments.

India tour of New Zealand 2026

Date- 22 October to 01 December

Fixtures- 5 T20Is, 5 ODIs, and 2 Tests

New Zealand Cricket, on June 3rd, announced dates for a blockbuster India series at home. The Men in Blue will be travelling to one of the most serene countries of the world for 5 T20Is, followed by a 5-match ODI series, and 2-match Test series. 

Interestingly, this will be the 1st 5-match ODI series that team India will be a part of since the Australia tour of India 2019. Fans will get a chance to watch more of their favourite stars including Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma who will be on their last lap of international career leading to the 2027 World Cup.

Sri Lanka Tour of India 2026

• Date - 13 December to 27 December
• Fixtures - 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs

India closes out the year with a home series against Sri Lanka, featuring a balanced white-ball contest across formats.

Zimbabwe Tour of India 2027

• Date - 3 January to 9 January
• Fixtures - 3 T20Is

This short early-year series is not just about T20 preparation and squad rotation, but it is also historic, marking the first time in 25 years that Zimbabwe is touring India for a bilateral series.

Australia Tour of India 2026

• Date - 21 January to 3 March
• Fixtures - 5 Tests

The highlight of India’s extended calendar before IPL 2027 is the Border-Gavaskar Trophy at home against Australia. This five-match Test series is crucial for the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025–27 cycle, providing India a key opportunity to secure maximum points on home soil.
