Just a day after a physical altercation with 15-year-old kid Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Sri Lanka A player Vishen Halambage deactivated his Instagram account, thus raising suspicion.

The fight happened after Sri Lanka A beat India A in a dramatic match that went to a one-over eliminator, and emotions were running high. Sri Lankan players were celebrating and engaging in verbal exchanges.

Vishen Halambage allegedly said something along the lines of, "Match over, now you go home." The comment reportedly irritated Sooryavanshi, as he turned back and shoved Halambage, leading to an ugly confrontation.

Soon after clips of the incident went viral, Indian fans began flooding Vishen Halambage's Instagram account. Many comments were abusive or hostile, and subsequently, some users noticed that Halambage first made his profile private.

However, a few hours later, the account appeared unavailable, suggesting that Vishen Halambage may have temporarily deactivated it to avoid harassment.

But a report from NewsWire claimed that Halambage did not quit Instagram at his own will. Instead, his account was allegedly blocked due to mass reporting and complaints.

At this stage, nobody outside Instagram and the player knows the exact reason, but fans have already dished out wild theories.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi reportedly poked multiple times

Meanwhile, according to a report from Cricbuzz, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi did not react out of impulse. Vishen Halambage had allegedly been sledging him since the first India A vs Sri Lanka A match on June 9.

The verbal exchanges reportedly continued throughout the second game. During the Super Over, Halambage allegedly told him, “Go home, this is not the IPL.”

After the Super Over ended, Halambage allegedly moved toward Sooryavanshi and India's other opener, Suryansh Shedge. Eventually, the 15-year-old reacted physically before wicketkeeper Niroshan Dickwella intervened.

So far, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has not been officially charged for breaching the code of conduct. However, since the fight was physical, both Sooryavanshi and Halambage could land in trouble.

What went wrong in the India A vs Sri Lanka A game?

Interestingly, the Vaibhav Sooryavanshi vs Vishen Halambage fight isn't the only drama that unfolded during the IND-A vs SL-A game. Captain Tilak Varma had a heated debate with the umpire after they disallowed a Super Over face-off due to bad light.

Not only that, India had questioned whether Sri Lanka should have been allowed to take the tying run because they believed the batter had not offered a shot and the ball had merely struck the pad.

Once the Super Over finally happened, India disagreed with a wide awarded to Sri Lanka, feeling the batter's movement should have influenced the decision.

The biggest moment came when Avishka Fernando appeared dismissed on the final ball of Sri Lanka's Super Over. Indian players started celebrating and leaving the field. Then the delivery was ruled a no-ball. Players had to return, Sri Lanka received a free hit, and eventually finished with a bigger Super Over total.
