Rassie van der Dussen in numbers
Once staged at Number 2 in ICC's ODI ranking, Rassie van der Dussen was a key figure for South Africa during the 2023 ODI World Cup. The Proteas lost a hard semifinal bout to Australia in Kolkata. He ended the tournament as the second-highest run-getter for his team with 448 runs, hitting two centuries and as many half-centuries.
Overall, van der Dussen played 18 Tests, 71 ODI matches and 57 T20Is for South Africa after debuting in late 2018. He slammed close to 5000 international runs, including 33 fifties and six hundreds.

He last played for his national team in August 2025, during the T20Is against Australia. However, he was soon dropped from their plans in the build-up to the 2026 T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka.
