Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Tilak Varma to join India team on THIS date
As reported by Revsportz journalist Rohit Juglan, both Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Tilak Varma will join the Indian national team on June 22 in Chennai to leave for Belfast.

Both Shreyas and Tilak were recently named India’s national captain and vice-captain, replacing Suryakumar Yadav and Axar Patel respectively after the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
For Sooryavanshi, the series in Ireland will mark his maiden international assignment for the Indian team. If the youngster gets a chance in the playing XI at any stage of the two tours, the 15-year-old will become the youngest Indian cricketer to make his international debut, thus surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s 37-year-old record.
Sooryavanshi, Tilak Varma struck with controversies in Sri Lanka
Both India bound players, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Tilak Varma were involved in major controversies during a tri-series game in Sri Lanka on Monday, June 15. Taking on Sri Lanka A at the Rangiri Stadium in Dambulla, Sooryavanshi was involved in a fiery verbal and physical exchange with a couple of players shortly after their intense Super Over thriller.
Television footage indicates that it was the Sri Lanka A players who provoked the 15-year-old, when the youngster was making his way to the dugout.
Earlier in the same game, India A captain Tilak Varma argued with the on-field umpires to carry on with the Super Over after the tied result between the two sides. The umpires, initially reluctant owing to bad light at the venue, eventually agreed for the tie-breaker.
The decision backfired for Tilak Varma and co. as Sri Lanka A won the match, with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi failing to notch up the winning runs for his side.
India to tour Ireland, England in June and July
Team India is scheduled to tour Ireland for their first-ever T20I series after winning the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. India will face Ireland for a two-match T20I series between June 26 and June 28 at the Stormont Cricket Ground in Belfast.
The ‘Men in Blue’ will then fly to England for a fresh series of five T20I matches and three ODIs against the hosts between July 1 and July 19.
