The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will be honouring several Indian legends with Lifetime Achievement awards for their contribution towards Indian cricket. Former India captain and all-time Test great Rahul Dravid is set to become one of the three recipients, alongside a certain cricketer-turned-administrator and former India Women’s captain.
Among active players, Shubman Gill and Smriti Mandhana will also be distinctly honoured by the BCCI for their prolific performance during the 2024-25 Indian season.
Rahul Dravid and Roger Binny to receive Lifetime Achievement awards
Ex-India captain Rahul Dravid and former all-rounder Roger Binny will be bestowed with the Col. C. K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Awards at the upcoming 2026 Naman Awards. The BCCI confirmed the same on Saturday, March 14.
The board stated that the two legendary personalities will be receiving the awards for their “outstanding service to Indian cricket”.

Rahul Dravid, a veteran of 164 Tests, is currently the world’s fifth highest run-maker in the format with over 13,000 runs. Overall, the legendary right-hander aggregated more than 24,000 international runs across all formats between the years 1996 and 2012.
Under his captaincy, Team India also secured a historic Test series win in England back in 2007. Moreover, the Karnataka legend also coached the Indian team to a drought-ending 2024 T20 World Cup win in the West Indies.
Roger Binny, on the other hand, played 99 international matches for India and was part of the 1983 World Cup winning team. He also coached India’s U19 team to 2000 World Cup win, and served as BCCI President up until recently.
Mithali Raj to be recognised for enhancing India Women’s cricket’s stature
The BCCI will also recognise former India Women’s captain Mithali Raj for her “extraordinary contribution to the growth and global stature of women’s cricket in India”. As confirmed by the board, she will receive the BCCI Lifetime Achievement Award for Women at the 2026 Naman Awards, thus joining Rahul Dravid and Roger Binny among the distinguished recipients at the ceremony.
Under her leadership, the India Women’s team reached the final of the 2005 and 2017 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cups in South Africa and England respectively. Overall, the six-time Asia Cup winner played 12 Tests, 232 ODIs and 89 T20I matches for India and she continues to remain one of the world’s leading run-makers and among the most capped cricketers in the women’s game.
Shubman Gill, Smriti Mandhana on track to win big
At the Naman Awards 2026, the BCCI also confirmed that India’s ODI and Test captain Shubman Gill will receive the Polly Umrigar Award for Best International Cricketer in the men’s department for his splendid run in the 2024-25 season.
Under the Women’s category, the board is set to honour India Women’s vice-captain and legendary opener Smriti Mandhana.
CSK’s Ayush Mhatre, Vidarbha cricketer to bag domestic awards
CSK’s rising star and young Mumbai batter Ayush Mhatre is tipped to receive the Lala Amarnath Award for being the best all-rounder in India’s domestic white-ball tournaments. For all-rounders in Ranji Trophy, the Lala Amarnath Award will be given to Vidarbha cricketer Harsh Dubey.
Similarly in the Women’s department, Ira Jadhav (Mumbai) and Shafali Verma (Haryana) will receive the Jagmohan Dalmiya Trophy for being the best all-rounder in red-ball and white-ball cricket respectively.
