Pakistan Player Openly Calls Babar Azam’s Sponsor Fraud (Source: X)
There is not a single day in Pakistan that can be labelled as normal, particularly when it comes to cricket. Saturday was nothing exceptional, and to add more spice, Babar Azam’s name was involved in the matter.
And it was one of Babar Azam’s most trusted soldiers who made the claims, and the sponsor of him during the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been something which was called out on an open social media platform.
Usama Mir Goes Brutal; Requests Mohsin Naqvi For Serious Action
The name of the player who made accusations against Babar Azam’s PSL team sponsor, Gym Arbour, was Usama Mir. Babar plays for Peshawar Zalmi, and according to Mir, the person who owns Gym Arbour and is also associated with the Peshawar-based PSL franchise, is nothing but a fraud.
Mir, who will be playing for Lahore Qalandars in PSL 2026, further claimed that many former cricketers were on the receiving end of unwanted consequences due to Abdul Rehman, the person in charge of Gym Arbour. In addition, Mir further added that he has all the necessary documents as proof to expose him.

"Do you all know this guy Abdul Rehman, owner of Gym Armour? He's a big fraud and has done major scams with many cricketers. He's sitting in Dubai, and I'm going to expose him now with the proofs, his videos, emails, contracts, cheques, and WhatsApp chats," Usama Mir tweeted.
Moreover, Mir tagged PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi under his post, only to delete it a few hours later. The reason behind deleting the post after claiming them all, however, is yet to be known.

The 30-year-old last played for Pakistan back in April 2024, against New Zealand, in Lahore.
Unfortunately, due to the rise of other spinners, particularly Abrar Ahmed, Usama’s career in international cricket did not go further.
Apart from PSL, Mir also played in different T20 leagues across the world. Manchester Originals, Antigua and Barbuda Falcons, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, and Hobart Hurricanes, among many others. Lahore would be his second PSL home during the upcoming edition, with Karachi Kings being his first. Overall, he has taken 63 wickets across 51 matches in Pakistan's elite T20 league over the years.
