MS Dhoni’s delayed return explained by coach Fleming

CSK head coach Stephen Fleming issued an official statement regarding the delayed return of legendary wicketkeeper-batter MS Dhoni in the team’s playing XI amid the ongoing IPL 2026 season. Fleming said “He's pretty keen. The calf is a tough one though. If he takes off and rips the calf again, then he will be gone.”

The former cricketer added that Dhoni is making his way to attaining full recovery for the upcoming CSK games of the tournament.

Glenn Maxwell roars back into form for Kingsmen in PSL 2026

Glenn Maxwell bludgeoned 70 runs off just 37 balls with eight boundaries and three sixes against the RawalPindiZ in match number 39 of the PSL 2026 season. Batting at number seven, the legendary Australian all-rounder catapulted the Hyderabad Kingsmen to a humungous 244-6 in 20 overs.

The innings marked the first half-century of Maxwell’s PSL career, and it occurred after a trail of his recent underwhelming scores in major franchise T20 tournaments.

Sanju Samson claims huge IPL record vs GT

Sanju Samson scored just 11 off 15 balls against the Gujarat Titans in match number 37 of the IPL 2026 season at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. Regardless of his underwhelming outcoming, the blistering CSK opener has become the fastest Indian cricketer in the history of the IPL to complete 5,000 runs in his career.

Samson achieved the feat in just 3,555 balls, thus bettering Suresh Raina’s previous record by 65 deliveries.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi gets out under controversial circumstances

KKR number three Angkrish Raghuvanshi was adjudged out for ‘obstructing the field’ against the LSG in match number 38 of the IPL 2026 season. In doing so, the youngster became only the fourth cricketer in IPL history to be dismissed in such a manner.

The incident occurred when Raghuvanshi, while making his way back to the crease, was accidentally struck by a Mohammed Shami throw, thus sparking a major controversy in the field.

Bangladesh name squad for Pakistan Test series

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has unveiled Bangladesh squad for the upcoming two-match home Test series against Pakistan. Both matches will be played in Mirpur and Sylhet between May 8 and May 20 respectively.

Najmul Hossain Shanto will continue to lead the national Test side, with Mehidy Hasan Miraz serving as his deputy. Litton Das, Taskin Ahmed and fellow senior pros like Mushfiqur Rahim also found a place in the 15-player squad.
