Matt Fisher replaces Blair Tickner as concussion sub | PC- AFP
In a massive update, Matt Fisher has come in as a concussion substitute for Blair Tickner in the second ODI match against India.
For the second time in the series, the New Zealand batters failed to leave a mark against a relatively young Indian bowling unit, folding for 131 in just 41 overs.
Blair Tickner suffered a blow from Anshul Kamboj in IND vs NZ 2nd ODI
Earlier in the morning, Blair Tickner, originally slotted in NZ's Playing XI vs IND, suffered a blow while batting during the New Zealand's innings.
The tailender was hit on his helmet by a back-of-length delivery from Anshul Kamboj. Although it clicked at just 130 kmph, the ball tailed in late, and Tickner was early into his pull.
The burly pacer continued batting but was sent back to the hut in the same over, as Kamboj yorked him out.
Notably, Blair Tickner’s long handle down the order helped the Kiwis reach 185 in the first ODI. The lower-order batter slashed 34 off 23 balls, including three maximums and a boundary, finishing as New Zealand's second-highest scorer of the day.
