Ishan Kishan recalled in India squad for Afghanistan series
The BCCI has unveiled India’s entire squads for the upcoming one-off Test and three ODI matches against Afghanistan in June. Ishan Kishan has been recalled in India’s ODI setup, where he will be joining senior pros like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Rohit’s availability, however, is subject to his fitness.

KL Rahul was appointed as India’s vice-captain for the one-off Test, replacing Rishabh Pant in the process.
Nat Sciver-Brunt ruled out of NZ, India T20Is
England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt has been ruled out of the upcoming Women’s T20I series against New Zealand and India. The cricketer also missed England’s recently-concluded ODI series against the ‘White Ferns’ at home owing to her injury concern.
The senior all-rounder is currently in a race against time to attain full recovery ahead of the upcoming 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup at home.
Finn Allen joins Chris Gayle’s Glasgow Cosmic in ETPL 2026
Explosive New Zealand opener Finn Allen has been roped in by the Chris Gayle-owned Glasgow Cosmic franchise for the upcoming inaugural edition of the European T20 Premier League. The franchise also recruited USA fast bowler Ali Khan and Scotland all-rounder Richie Berrington.
Finn Allen is currently in India as part of the KKR franchise for the ongoing IPL 2026 season. The cricketer also stormed New Zealand into the final of the 2026 T20 World Cup a couple of months ago.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scales huge IPL record
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi blasted 93 runs off just 38 balls against the LSG in match 64 of the IPL 2026 season. The youngster launched 10 huge sixes and seven boundaries to storm his team to a comprehensive victory.
Through the course of his knock, Sooryavanshi reached 579 runs this season in just 13 innings. At the age of just 15 years and 53 days, he became the youngest to aggregate over 500 runs in a single IPL season.
Mitchell Marsh scripts huge record for LSG
Mitchell Marsh smeared 96 runs off just 57 balls against the Rajasthan Royals in match 64 of the IPL 2026 season in Jaipur. In the process, the LSG opener completed 500 runs this season in just 13 innings.
Marsh has now become the first batter in LSG history to score 500 or more runs in successive IPL seasons. He aggregated 627 runs last year, and is currently sitting on a pile of 563 runs in IPL 2026.
