In 2009, CSK’s Shadab Jakati registered one of the most embarrassing run-outs against Deccan Chargers, which is still one of the most-watched videos on social media. However, on Tuesday, LSG’s Mohsin Khan produced a similar blunder against Rajasthan Royals, worthy of being called as the worst run-out miss in IPL history.
Notably, chasing a target of 221 runs, the Rajasthan Royals got off to a flying start. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi turned out to be the difference between the two teams as the 15-year-old slammed a brilliant 38-ball 93.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Goes All Guns Blazing Against LSG
Notably, Sooryavanshi got off to a slow start but slowly picked up the pace. He slammed a 23-ball fifty, his slowest in a young career. However, after the fifty, he looked unstoppable, and quickly raced to 93 off 37 and took the game away from Lucknow Super Giants.
LSG had a chance to send Sooryavanshi back to the dressing room early on, but Mohsin Khan’s run-out blunder changed things. Notably, the entire stadium was in disbelief and couldn’t believe their eyes.
Mohsin Khan produces the worst-ever run-out miss
On the 1st ball of the 14th over, Dhruv Jurel guided a shot at short third man. Digvesh Rathi was alert and quickly collected the ball. Meanwhile, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who was at the non-striker’s end, was quite eager to take the strike.

The 15-year-old was halfway down the track, but was sent back by Dhruv Jurel. Rathi quickly threw the ball to Mohsin Khan, who was well-positioned near the stumps. Everything was going perfectly, and the LSG seamer had to just dislodge the bail.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi ran back at the non-striker’s end but gave up hope. However, Mohsin Khan had a brain fade and made a throw at the stumps from point-blank range. In a shocker, the ball missed the stumps and Sooryavanshi easily made his crease. The 15-year-old also laughed at the missed opportunity.

Mohsin Khan Quickly Makes Up for His Mistake
After the traumatic run-out miss, Mohsin Khan remainded calm and compose and rectified his mistake in the same over. In the 6th ball of the 14th over, Mohsin Khan bowled a nice blower out-side the off delivery which Sooryavanshi looked to hit over long-on. However, Abdul Samad was there and took a nice catch.
Overall, Mohsin Khan has had a great IPL season as the left-arm seamer has picked up 11 wickets in 6 innings. Notably, he is the only bowler in IPL 2026 to have taken a five-wicket haul, which he registered against Kolkata Knight Riders. However, talking about the match, RR chased down the total with 5 balls remaining.
