With the Indian team entering a busy home schedule, the deal is expected to remain in place across multiple formats and tournaments, adding another prominent brand to the country's cricketing ecosystem after Apollo Tyres.Muthoot Finance secures title sponsorship of India teamMuthoot Finance Limited, popularly known as Muthoot Fincorp, has acquired the title sponsorship rights for Indian cricket for the next two years, according to a report by Cricbuzz. The deal, referred to as 'Blue Muthoot', is understood to have been negotiated at a base price of INR 4.85 crore per match. However, the final amount could reportedly be lower than the base figure, with the exact financial details expected to become clear once the BCCI officially announces the agreement. The sponsorship will cover matches played in India until March 31, 2028. During this period, the agreement is expected to include approximately 35 home internationals, excluding the matches India will play overseas, like the World Cup 2027.Also Read- New Zealand's Strongest XI For India T20Is: Finn Allen To Open; Kyle Jamieson Out?The projected international schedule under the deal includes 10 Tests, 12 ODIs and 13 T20Is. Along with international cricket, Muthoot Fincorp will also hold the title rights for domestic matches played in India during the agreement period.Who was the previous title sponsor of India team? The latest title sponsorship development comes after a major change in India's commercial sponsorship landscape. Apollo Tyres became the lead sponsor and title sponsor of the Indian cricket team after replacing Dream11. The tyre manufacturer signed a ₹579 crore deal, with the agreement running through March 2028.The partnership covers India's senior men's and women's teams as well as junior teams across formats. The two partnerships serve different commercial purposes.Apollo Tyres holds the lead team and jersey sponsorship rights, meaning its logo remains on India's playing kit. Muthoot Fincorp, meanwhile, has acquired the title sponsorship rights, so its branding will be tied to matches rather than the players' jerseys. The Muthoot name is expected to feature prominently through series naming, stadium branding, boundary boards and ropes, presentation backdrops and other match-day assets. Its branding can also form part of broadcast and digital graphics associated with the games. Moreover, Apollo Tyres owns the prominent jersey space, while Muthoot Fincorp gets the naming and match-day visibility attached to India's home fixtures, such as the Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka series which will be played on January 2027 and December 2026 respectively. Also Read- Gautam Gambhir Takes Clear Stance On His Bond With Rohit Sharma
