They are currently fourth on the WTC points table, with three wins in six matches, while PCT is reading 55.56.Even India are behind Bangladesh on the WTC table, as are England.Speaking to Cricbuzz, Mushtaq Ahmed shared his thoughts on the Bangladesh Test side, saying he believes they can reach the WTC final in the ongoing cycle. However, at the same time, he highlighted that good and consistent cricket is important to make that happen."Why not? We are in a great position now. This is the mindset we, as coaches, have to change. Credit goes to all the players, selectors, and stakeholders because they are on the same page and believe we can challenge any team now,” he added.Mushtaq Highlights Bangladesh's Spin StrengthA veteran of 185 Test wickets and 161 ODI wickets for Pakistan, Mushtaq, one of the best leg-spinners of all time, is currently working alongside local Bangladesh spinners for a four-day camp. There, at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, he, along with Abdur Razzak, among others, is having training sessions with Bangladesh’s U23 and the spinners from High Performance.“Bangladesh cricket structure with the spinners is very good. That's why I think those camps have to be regular. Every third month we should do that because I think they will get lots of benefits from it,” Mushtaq opined.“Not only spinners, we can develop the spin bowling coaches also locally, so they can understand how to work with the basics and alignment and technical and tactical [stuff]," he added.When Will Bangladesh Play A Test Match Next?Bangladesh will play a one-off Test match against Afghanistan, scheduled to begin on October 9 in Abu Dhabi. However, it will not be part of the ongoing WTC cycle.Bangladesh’s WTC fixtures will resume on October 28 when they host West Indies for a two-match Test series in Sylhet.
