In the latest development, the PSL franchise, Peshawar Zalmi, have roped in Bangladesh star, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, for the upcoming season. The team will be led by Pakistan star Babar Azam, and ahead of the marquee event, the team has decided to rope in the talented player from the neighbouring country.
With the latest addition, it is expected that the Bangladesh player will open alongside Babar, as the Zalmi aims to win the PSL title. The opening batter is also set to play alongside his national teammates, Nahid Rana, and Shoriful Islam.
Nahid was bought in the PSL auction, while Shoriful was signed directly, a few days ago. With Tanzid Hasan joining PSL, a total of six Bangladesh players will take part in the coveted tournament.
How much will Tanzid Hasan and other Bangladesh players earn in PSL
With Tanzid Hasan joining the Peshawar Zalmi recently, his PSL 2026 fee is yet to be disclosed. In terms of earnings, left-arm Bangladesh seamer, Mustafizur Rahman, will earn the highest (6.5 crore PKR), followed by Emon and Nahid, who will earn PKR 6 crore each.
Rishad Hossain, who played a key role in Lahore Qalandars’ title win last season, will earn around PKR 3 crore as the spinner will hold the key for his side.

What Tanzid Hasan will bring to the table for Babar Azam's Peshawar
A left-handed opening batter, Tanzid Hasan, will bring a different dynamism to the Peshawar Zalmi side in PSL 2026. The batter possesses decent T20I numbers, with 1120 runs, at a strike rate of 128, but it is his attacking approach that has prompted the Peshawar Zalmi management to go after him.
Compared with Tamim Iqbal, the legendary Bangladesh opener, Tanzid Hasan is an explosive batter, and his presence would allow Babar Azam to play his natural game as the Bangladesh cricketer will look to target the bowlers in the early going, allowing Babar to settle in.
While his T20I numbers are not the best, the youngster has the potential to become the best player for the Zalmi in the upcoming PSL season.

Interestingly, it is not Tanzid Hasan’s T20I numbers that prompted the franchise to invest in him for PSL 2026; rather, it was his exploits in the ODIs vs Pakistan that triggered the signing.
In the recently concluded ODI series against the Men in Green, Tanzid showed his class as he hammered 175 runs, with an average of 87.50 and helped the Tigers clinch the series, 2-1.
He scored a quick-fire fifty in the first ODI, and moreover, in the series decider, the stylish batter scored a match-winning century, and this outstanding batting against a quality attack helped him get a PSL 2026 contract. For his performance, the player was adjudged the Player of the Series.
