Rajasthan Royals’ teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi capped off a dream IPL 2026 campaign by sweeping the season-end awards. Sooryavanshi's phenomenal campaign resulted in an avalanche of runs, records, and major accolades for the Rajasthan Royals. 

At only 15 years old, Sooryavanshi walked away with five major individual honours of the season. For his record-breaking season, he won the Orange Cap, Most Valuable Player award, Emerging Player of the Season, Super Striker of the Season and Super Sixes of the Season. Certainly, he finished the tournament as the undisputed star. 

On top of that, the RR batter’s explosive approach helped him finish as the youngest player ever to win the Orange Cap with a staggering 776 runs from 16 innings.

5) Shaun Marsh, 24 years and 328 days

The Australian, Shaun Marsh, was the standout batter in the inaugural 2008 IPL, playing for the Kings XI Punjab. He won the first-ever Orange Cap by scoring 616 runs in just 11 matches at a stunning average of 68.44 and a strike rate of 139.68.

Winning the Orange Cap at just 24 years and 328 days, Marsh remains the fifth youngest to achieve the accolade.  

4) Ruturaj Gaikwad, 24 years and 257 days

In the 2021 Indian Premier League, Ruturaj Gaikwad made history by becoming the then-youngest player ever to win the IPL Orange Cap, achieving the milestone at 24 years and 257 days old while powering the Chennai Super Kings to the championship title.

3) Shubman Gill, 23 years and 263 days

At the age of 23 years and 263 days, Shubman Gill became the youngest player to win the IPL Orange Cap in the history of the tournament, achieving this feat during the 2023 season as an opener for the Gujarat Titans. 

However, Gill held the record for only 2 years, as his GT opening partner soon broke his record.  

2) Sai Sudharsan, 23 years and 231 days

Following a phenomenal season in 2024, at age 23 years and 231 days, Sai Sudharsan of the Gujarat Titans made history in the 2025 Indian Premier League by becoming the then-youngest player to win the Orange Cap, amassing 759 runs in 15 matches.

He broke Gill's mark by reaching the 700-run milestone at 23 years and 227 days-30 days younger than when Gill achieved the feat in 2023.

1) Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, 15 years, 65 days

The most remarkable name on the list, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, made history in 2026, becoming the youngest youngest player to win IPL Orange Cap at just 15 years and 65 days old. 

Playing for the Rajasthan Royals, the teenage sensation amassed a staggering 776 runs in 16 innings, cementing one of the most prolific individual campaigns the tournament has ever seen.
