Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will be the Gujarat Titans (GT)'s den as the two sides fight it out for the ultimate prize in the IPL 2026 final, with one of them adding another silverware to their cabinet, which currently has only one trophy.
A lot is at stalk in the final showdown of the IPL 2026. Although these two teams have met thrice, with RCB leading by a margin of 2-1 this season.
As the tournament is set to come to its conclusion, let us see how much prize money the BCCI will distribute to the IPL 2026 winners and the runners-up, as well as to the Orange Cap & Purple Cap winners.
IPL 2026 Prize Money
How much IPL 2026 winner, runners-up earn?
The winner of the IPL 2026, either RCB or GT, will bag a whopping prize tag of INR 20 crore. Meanwhile, the runners-up will be receiving INR 13 crore.
Interestingly, the Rajasthan Royals, who lost to GT in Qualifier 2, will be getting a massive sum of INR 7 crore. Whereas, the Sunrisers Hyderabad will get INR 6.5 crore, for losing in the Eliminator.

How much IPL 2026 Orange Cap, Purple Cap Winners bag?
The race for the Orange Cap in IPL 2026 has been the most closely fought one. The 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is currently the leading run-getter of the season, with 776 runs in 16 innings. However, GT’s star openers, Shubman Gill (722) and B Sai Sudharsan (710), are not too far behind. Whoever wins it will bag the INR 10 lakh prize.
If the younger guns are leading in the Orange Cap race, the older legs are fighting it out for the Purple Cap. Gujarat's Kagiso Rabada currently has it, with 28 wickets in 16 innings. However, RCB's Bhuvneshwar Kumar (26 wickets) can also bag it. Nevertheless, the Purple Cap holder after the big IPL 2026 will bag INR 10 lakh prize.
How much will Emerging Player of IPL 2026 get?
The BCCI has set rules for the Emerging Player of the Season. The player shouldn't have played for India; he should have been born after 1st April 2000 and have not previously won the award.
Thus, the 15-year-old sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and PBKS' Priyansh Arya are leading the race. The winner of Emerging Player of the Season will get INR 20 lakh.
How much will Most Valuable Player of IPL 2026 get?
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi (436.5 points), Kagiso Rabada (408.0 points) and Jofra Archer (396.5 points) are the contenders for the MVP. The winner of the Most Valuable Player of IPL 2026 will earn INR 10 lakh.
How much will Fairplay winner earn?
The BCCI also has an award for Fairplay of the season, and the Punjab Kings are leading in it in IPL 2026. The winner of the award will be honoured with INR 10 Lakh.

It is understood that the BCCI will pay up a sum of INR 47.1 crore in awards.
IPL Prize Money over the years
In the first two seasons of the IPL, the apex board awarded INR 4.8 crore in prize money to the winners. In IPL 2010, the stakes were doubled, with the winners paid INR 10 crore for the next three seasons.
In 2014 and 2015, the BCCI had given the cash prize of INR 15 crore, before it was increased by INR 5 crore in 2016. However, in the COVID-19-hit 2020, it was again reduced to INR 15 crore. However, since IPL 2021, the winners have received INR 20 crore for winning the championship.
