Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is currently one of the biggest emerging talents in Indian cricket, especially after his remarkable IPL 2026 season.
One of the key indicators of his success can be measured by the fact that even after the Rajasthan Royals crashed out in Qualifier 2, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi still managed to bag multiple individual awards during the IPL 2026 post-match ceremony.
There is now growing excitement around the 15-year-old prodigy, with the BCCI dropping one of the biggest hints yet regarding a possible India debut in the near future following his meeting with ICC chief Jay Shah in the IPL final.

Notably, Sooryavanshi was present at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 31 during the IPL 2026 final between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans.
While the match itself was an exciting contest, what caught many fans' attention was Sooryavanshi sitting alongside ICC Chairman Jay Shah and BCCI officials Devajit Saikia and Rajeev Shukla.
India Call Up On The Cards?
It is not unreasonable to speculate that there may have been discussions between the young batter and some of the most influential figures in cricket regarding his future with the Indian team.
Sooryavanshi has already been shortlisted for India's Asian Games squad, which highlights the confidence selectors have in his abilities despite his young age.
Jay Shah's gesture of having Sooryavanshi seated alongside the top cricket administrators has further fueled speculation that a national team call-up may not be too far away.
Devajit Saikia Drops Big Hint On Sooryavanshi's Debut
BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia also strengthened the possibility of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi representing India soon through his comments after the IPL final. Speaking to reporters, Saikia praised the youngster and emphasised the board's commitment to supporting his development.
"He is a wonderful player coming up, and he has a bright future ahead. The BCCI will do everything possible to help him reach the highest level of cricket," Saikia shared.
With Sooryavanshi's future appearing increasingly bright, many believe it is only a matter of time before he receives an opportunity in India's T20 setup.
