The Punjab Kings (PBKS) could be involved in one of the biggest player trades ahead of the IPL 2027. According to a report by Sportstar, Mumbai Indians (MI) and Punjab Kings are close to reaching an agreement involving star all-rounder Hardik Pandya and Indian fast bowler Arshdeep Singh.

As per the deal, Hardik Pandya could move from Mumbai Indians to Punjab Kings. In return, MI are expected to receive Arshdeep Singh and wicketkeeper-batter Vishnu Vinod. However, it is important to note that neither franchise has officially confirmed the reported trade.

If the deal goes through, Arshdeep Singh will become another big name to leave the Punjab Kings through a player trade.

• Dinesh Karthik was traded from Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) to Mumbai Indians ahead of the 2012 IPL season. The wicketkeeper-batter moved to MI, while R. Sathish joined Punjab Kings. It is important to note that it was a player+cash deal.

Mandeep Singh and Marcus Stoinis (2019)

• Ahead of the 2019 IPL season, Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) and RCB completed a player-for-player trade. Mandeep Singh moved from RCB to Punjab, while Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis joined RCB.

Ravichandran Ashwin (2019)

• Ravichandran Ashwin moved from Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) to Delhi Capitals. The deal was completed in 2019 and involved a reported cash amount of ₹7.6 crore.

• Jagadeesha Suchith also became part of the R Ashwin trade involving Delhi Capitals. Punjab received the Karnataka spinner along with ₹1.5 crore as part of the deal.
