The veteran who was one of the main pillars of England Women’s Cricket will end her cricketing journey after the India Women vs England Women Only Test match concludes at Lord’s.

As the 300-plus international match player concludes her journey, she has also been one of the most promising leaders for the team, championing her side to the 2017 World Cup title. As Knight walks off the field, here’s a look at some of her best international appearances, besides being a great skip.

Heather Knight's Best Performanes

5) 78 vs Australia Women in 2020 (WT20I)

Heather Knight delivered one of the greatest T20I innings of her career to lead England to a thrilling victory over Australia in the second match of the 2020 Women's Tri-Series at the Manuka Oval in Canberra on February 1, 2020.

After Australia elected to field, England slumped to 39/3 in the ninth over, with Amy Jones, Danni Wyatt and Nat Sciver-Brunt already back in the pavilion. Walking into a crisis, Knight completely transformed the innings with a breathtaking 78 off just 45 balls, smashing eight fours and three sixes at a strike rate of 173.33.

She stitched together a game-changing 115-run partnership with Fran Wilson, lifting England to a competitive 156/4 after looking set for a below-par total.

Australia matched the score exactly at 156/8, but Knight's knock proved to be the difference as England held their nerve to win the one-over eliminator.

4) 109 vs India Women in 2025 (WODI)

On October 19, 2025, Heather Knight produced one of the defining innings of her career to guide England Women to a thrilling four-run victory over India Women in the 20th match of the ICC Women's World Cup at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore.

Walking in after England lost Amy Jones at 98/2, Knight completely changed the tempo of the innings with a magnificent 109 off just 91 balls, smashing 15 fours and a six at a strike rate of 119.78.

She stitched a crucial 113-run partnership with Nat Sciver-Brunt, taking England from a steady position to a commanding 211/3 before being run out in the 45th over.

Her century, which came off just 86 deliveries, proved to be the difference as England finished on 288/8.

3) 106 vs Pakistan Women in 2017 (WODI)

Heather Knight led from the front with a captain's century as England Women crushed Pakistan Women by 107 runs in the 5th match of the ICC Women's World Cup at Grace Road, Leicester, on June 27, 2017.

Walking in after England slipped to 22/1, Knight produced a sublime 106 off 109 balls, striking 12 fours and two sixes at a strike rate of 97.24.

More importantly, she steadied the innings after the early dismissals of Tammy Beaumont and Sarah Taylor before combining with Nat Sciver-Brunt for a breathtaking 213-run third-wicket partnership.

While Sciver-Brunt accelerated with a 92-ball 137, Knight played the perfect anchor, rotating the strike brilliantly and punishing every loose delivery to help England post a mammoth 377/7. Her innings laid the foundation for a massive victory, as Pakistan were restricted to 107/3 in 29.2 overs due to rain.

2) 157 vs Australia Women in 2013 (WTest)

In one of the greatest innings of Heather Knight's career, the young England batter stood tall against a world-class Australian attack at Wormsley from August 11-14, 2013.

Australia piled up 331/6 declared in the first innings through centuries from Sarah Elliott and crucial fifties from Jess Duffin and Alex Blackwell, leaving England under huge pressure. Knight responded with a magnificent 157 off 338 balls, striking 20 fours during a marathon stay of 417 minutes.

Walking in after an early wicket, she watched partners fall regularly as England slipped to 113/6, but refused to surrender. Her massive 156-run partnership with Laura Marsh, who battled for 55 off 304 balls, rescued England to 314 and prevented Australia from taking complete control.

1) 168* vs Australia Women in 2022 (WTest)

From January 27 to 30, 2022, the only Women's Ashes Test between Australia Women and England Women at Manuka Oval, Canberra, looked destined to end in another Australian victory after the hosts piled up 337/9 declared.

England were in deep trouble at 46/3 before captain Heather Knight produced one of the greatest innings in women's Test history. Her unbeaten 168 off 294 balls kept England alive for over seven hours, helping them reach 297 and avoid a huge first-innings deficit.

Chasing 257 after Australia's second declaration at 216/7, Knight again led from the front with a fluent 48, setting the tone for England's fearless pursuit before Nat Sciver-Brunt and Sophia Dunkley accelerated.

England finished on 245/9, just 12 runs short, but Knight's remarkable twin efforts rescued a draw from a seemingly hopeless position as the skipper fought like a ‘knight’.
