After defeating the Afghanistan side in the home series, Team India embarks on an away journey, and their first stop is Ireland as the Men in Blue will take on the Irish side in a two-game T20I series. June 26, and 28 are the dates set for a marquee contest as both teams will collide in a riveting battle.

India has picked a strong squad for the Ireland tour, with the young Vaibhav Sooryavanshi getting a taste of his first international assignment. Also, the Irish side has also revealed their team for the India challenge, and India would be foolish to underestimate the hosts.

On paper, India are the heavy favourites, but Ireland do have players who can cause an upset. In this article, we take a look at 3 such Irish players who can trouble India in the two-match T20I series.

1) Harry Tector

One of the few Irish players who has the experience of playing against India in T20Is, Harry Tector was once touted as the best young player in the world, and the Irish star would be hopeful to live up to the hype against the Men in Blue.

A hard-hitting batter with 98 T20I games under his belt, Tector, in that middle-order, has the ability to take the game away from India. Moreover, he can be an accumulator if needed, and can also score at a rapid pace, which makes him a key wicket for the Indian bowlers.
