LSG record at home stadium before IPL 2026 [Source: AFP]
One of the two newest sides in the IPL, Lucknow Super Giants, head into IPL 2026 in search of some consistency after making it to the playoffs only twice in four seasons played so far. After the squads were reshuffled following the auctions ahead of the IPL 2025 season, Rishabh Pant was made the new captain, having been bought in for a record INR 27 crore.
During their first season after the mega auction, they failed to capitalise on the starts given by their top-3 batters, and Pant struggled to get going. The top-order eventually lost a bit of their form, and they finished the season 6th on the table, 4 points behind the fourth-placed Mumbai Indians.
Notably, they only managed to win 2 of their 7 home matches, which proved to be detrimental to their playoff chances. Heading into IPL 2026, their primary aim will be to win the majority of the matches at Ekana Stadium, Lucknow and become the team to beat at home in a revamped squad.
The Lucknow Super Giants have played 21 matches at the Ekana Stadium, but haven’t been able to seal it as their fortress yet. They have only won 9 games, lost 11 and one of the fixtures ended without a result.
Former LSG skipper, KL Rahul, has scored the most runs for them at home. He has scored 483 runs in 12 innings, averaging 43.90 at a strike rate of 130.89 during his time at LSG.
