India's biggest T20 extravaganza, the IPL, is just around the corner. The tournament is all set to kick off on Saturday, March 28, with defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru taking on the Sunrisers Hyderabad in a high-voltage curtain-raiser. 

The IPL 2026 is a part of the packed cricketing season, which recently witnessed the conclusion of the T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka. 

While all eyes will be on legendary Indian cricketers like MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, promising players like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Priyansh Arya and Riyan Parag are all set to light up the stage with scintillating stroke-play. 

Meanwhile, the initial IPL 2026 players list witnessed a number of withdrawals, with teams signing several injury replacements ahead of the season. As the stage is set for a cracking IPL season, here is the full list of the players who have been ruled out and their replacements. 

CSK IPL 2026 players list: Spencer Johnson replaces Nathan Ellis

CSK suffered a huge setback as their death overs specialist Nathan Ellis was ruled out of the IPL 2026 due to a hamstring injury. 

The five-time champions signed left-arm Australian pacer Spencer Johnson at a price of INR 1.5 crore as an injury replacement for Nathan Ellis.

Delhi Capitals IPL 2026 players list: Ben Duckett pulls out, Mitchell Starc uncertain

The Delhi Capitals lost their prime opening option Ben Duckett, as the England batter joined the list of players who have withdrawn from the tournament. 

Duckett stated that he would skip the IPL 2026 to focus on stabilising his international career following England's disastrous defeat in The Ashes.

Meanwhile, ace speedster Mitchell Starc is set to be unavailable for an undisclosed period, with Cricket Australia managing his workload ahead of a packed home summer. Duckett is set to be banned till the IPL 2029, while Delhi Capitals haven't signed any replacement so far.

Gujarat Titans IPL 2026 players list: Kulwant Khejroliya replaces Prithviraj Yarra

Left-arm pacer Kulwant Khejroliya, who has played for RCB in the IPL, has been added to the Gujarat Titans IPL 2026 players list as an injury replacement for Prithviraj Yarra. He joins the Gujarat Titans squad at INR 30 lakh.

The BCCI had earlier snubbed Mustafizur Rahman's IPL 2026 contract amid the worsening geopolitical ties between India and Bangladesh. 

Blessing Muzarabani joined the KKR IPL 2026 players list, while Saurabh Dubey and Navdeep Saini were added to the team as the injury replacements of Akash Deep and Harshit Rana, respectively.

England allrounder Sam Curran has been ruled out of the IPL 2026 due to a suspected groin injury. Dasun Shanaka has joined the Rajasthan Royals IPL 2026 squad as his injury replacement for INR 2 crore.

RCB IPL 2026 players list: Josh Hazlewood unavailable, Yash Dayal out

Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood is likely to miss at least two matches for RCB in the IPL 2026. Meanwhile, RCB Director of Cricket Mo Bobat recently revealed that left-arm pacer Yash Dayal would miss the entire season due to personal reasons. 

However, no injury replacement for Hazlewood has been added to the RCB squad for IPL 2026.

Australian all-rounder Jack Edwards has been ruled out of the IPL 2026 due to a foot injury. The Sunrisers signed left-arm pacer David Payne as his injury replacement for INR 1.5 crore. 

On the other hand, Pat Cummins has confirmed his unavailability for the first half of the IPL 2026.
