In their own backyard at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) were all down and out against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match 10 of IPL 2026.
However, Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Reddy had other plans, as they stitched a record 116-run stand for the fifth wicket to rewrite IPL history books.
After Rishabh Pant won the toss and asked Ishan Kishan and his boys to bat first, Mohammed Shami-led LSG attack tore apart SRH top three – Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan’s wickets.
Debutant Liam Livingstone failed to impress, which left SRH reeling at 26/4 after 7.1 overs.
Nitish Reddy and Heinrich Klaasen then held the fort, and the rest of their partnership became the part of IPL history.

Eventually, Klaasen fell for 62 off 41 balls, which had five fours and two sixes. Reddy, on the other hand, made 56 off 33 balls, helping SRH finish with 156/9.
