New Zealand star batter Glenn Phillips is having a series to remember. The right-handed batter is refusing to slow down against India and has now etched his name into history In the 5th T20I. 

With a fifty in the 5th T20I, Glenn Phillips shattered Phil Salt's world record to now hold the record for most runs in a bilateral series.

Glenn Phillips Shatters Phil Salt’s Feat

Overall, Phil Salt held the record for most runs in a T20I bilateral series. The England opener scored 331 runs against West Indies in 2023. However, Phillips surpassed Mohammed Rizwan and Phil Salt on the list with a fifty in the 5th T20I.

Glenn Phillips started the series with an unbeaten 82-run knock off just 40 balls. He followed it up with a 70-run innings, but unfortunately, both innings came in a losing cause.

Phillips’ only failure in the series came in the 3rd T20I where he got out for 17 (14). The 29-year-old’s best knock came in the 4th T20I, where he scored a brilliant 107 (49 balls). In the 5th T20I, Phillips has already scored 50 (29) and brought up his fourth fifty-plus score of the series.
