Delhi Capitals fans troll CSK [Source: X, AFP]
In a league as fiercely competitive and emotionally charged as the Indian Premier League (IPL), fans tend to add their own dose of humour and banter to the spectacle. In match number 48 of the IPL 2026 season, as played out between the Delhi Capitals and CSK franchises, fans of the former seem to have crossed the line when it comes to taking things too far.
At one point of the match, a section of Delhi Capitals fans trolled their CSK counterparts by taking out and demonstrating a ‘jail jersey’. The gesture appeared to be a pointed dig at CSK’s past off-field controversies, specifically alluding to the franchise’s two-year suspension from the tournament back in 2016 and 2017.
