Popular YouTuber IShowSpeed recently tried his hand at cricket. Interestingly, the streamer went on to challenge star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli in a clip that has gone viral on social media.
Darren Jason Watkins Jr, popularly known as IShowSpeed, is an American YouTuber, livestreamer, and internet personality. He rose to fame with loud reactions, funny outbursts and unpredictable behaviour on live streams.
IShowSpeed calls out Virat Kohli
During one of his live streams, IShowSpeed got introduced to cricket, and since then, he has been a fan of Indian legend Virat Kohli. Recently, he shot a video in the Caribbean with local cricketers.
IShowSpeed attempted an unconventional delivery that surprisingly nailed directly at the stumps. Immediately after shattering the wickets, the YouTuber challenged Kohli, saying, “Virat Kohli, call me… ICC call me, Mumbai cricket team, call me.”
While his bowling action wouldn’t pass professional standards, the clip struck a chord online, especially among cricket fans, thanks to his repeated references to Virat Kohli.
This isn’t the first time Speed has linked himself with Kohli. The popular streamer has previously joked about being “the best cricket player in the world” and often reacts passionately to the Indian star’s performances.

When Speed attended the IND vs PAK game
Interestingly, IShowSpeed previously landed in New York to attend the high-profile India vs Pakistan clash of the 2024 T20 World Cup. He cheered loudly for Virat Kohli, reacting to every boundary.
However, when Naseem Shah got Kohli dismissed, Speed appeared visibly disappointed. Even during his India visit, Speed wore Kohli’s jersey and chanted his name repeatedly.
Apart from this, when Virat Kohli announced his Test retirement, IShowSpeed reacted to the news on his live stream and said he was shocked and emotional.
Virat Kohli is thriving with RCB in IPL 2026
Meanwhile, in IPL 2026, Virat Kohli is in his best form. In 9 innings so far, he has scored 379 runs at 54.14 average and a strike rate of 165.50. He has scored 3 half-centuries as well.
Kohli’s form is crucial for RCB. With 6 wins in 9 games, the defending champions are seated at the second spot on the points table. At this rate, they are most likely to finish in the top 2.
However, the tournament is still long, and RCB cannot take any game for granted, as the competition is only going to get tougher in the next couple of weeks.
That being said, RCB will next face LSG on May 7 at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. This will be an opportunity for RCB to get 2 easy points against a dispirited Super Giants squad who are struggling at the bottom of the points table.
LSG are more or less out of the playoffs but they can spoil RCB's party.
