Shubman Gill has been on a roll to troll other franchises as he slayed the Chennai Super Kings and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. After a decisive win against the Punjab Kings on May 3, Gill again took to his Instagram handle to put up a massive dig at the Shreyas Iyer-led unit.
Shubman Gill, who is originally from Punjab, shared a picture of himself with Sai Sudharsan and Washington Sundar on his official Instagram handle. It served as a roast for PBKS, a side that remained unbeaten in IPL 2026 until April 27 before losing to Rajasthan Royals.
How Shubman Gill Trolled RCB and CSK?
Gill was crafty with his indirect dig at the franchises. After securing an 8-wicket victory over CSK on April 26, Gill posted an image of himself sitting on a private jet while holding a yellow coloured whistle in his hand. He captioned the post, “Nandri Chennai,” while poking the 'Whistle Podu' gang.
Similarly, after a clinical win against RCB on April 30, Gill took a dig with his witty caption pun. While posting a picture with Jason Holder, Gill wrote, “Play Hold @jaseholder98 Bold performance by the team tonight.”
As “Play Bold” is the theme of the Virat Kohli starrer franchise, “Play Hold” indicated the mockery of RCB’s gameplay against Gujarat. Gill also shared pictures of his interaction with Kohli in that series to add to the tension.

Shubman Gill Openly Challenges Punjab Kings
After trolling CSK and RCB, Gill now knocked on the door of the Punjab Kings. The star opener and skipper of Gujarat shared a picture of himself alongside Sundar and Sai doing the famous Punjabi Bhangra Dance Pose, indicating that they have penetrated the Punjab fort to secure the win.
The caption to the post read, “Bas jeetna hai. Aava de.” Fans were quick to dissect the post, which also consisted of images of Jason Hodler, Kagiso Rabada and Mohammed Siraj.

How Gujarat Titans Flayed PBKS
The Shubman Gill-led team took on the Punjab Kings in Ahmedabad on May 3. Coming in to bat first, the Kings could put up only a total of 163 on the board.
Opener Priyansh Arya and batter Cooper Connolly returned with disappointing scores. It was only the late middle-order blitz from Suryansh Shedge, Marcus Stoinis, and Marco Jansen that helped the team post a respectable total.
Gujarat Titans' bowlers restricted the run flow effectively, with Mohammad Siraj and Kagiso Rabada picking up two wickets each. Jason Holder was the pick of the bowlers with his four-wicket haul from four overs, conceding only 24 runs.
GT Bag Chase After Early Stumble
Coming into the chase, the Gujarat Titans stumbled early as well, with Shubman Gill getting out in just the second over. In the ninth over, Jos Buttler's wicket left a glaring gap in GT's run chase.
Nishant Sindhu was dismissed in the 12th over, leaving GT reeling at 94/4. It was consistent contributions from Sai Sudarshan’s 41-ball 57 and Washington Sundar’s unbeaten 40 that helped Gujarat Titans complete the chase by four wickets with one ball remaining.
