Shubman Gill Breaks Silence On His Marriage Intentions

Shubman Gill, the poster boy of Indian cricket and the current skipper of the Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2026, has been a heartthrob for many. Ahead of the GT sv PBKS clash on May 3, he shared the fate of his marriage.

While Shubman Gill has been associated with multiple names like Sara Tendulkar, Sara Ali Khan, Avneet Kaur, and Sonam Bajwa, among others, no official confirmation has been given from the cricketer’s side to date. Now, he broke his silence to share the final say on his marriage date.

Gill and his Rumoured Girlfriends

Gill has been mostly associated with Sachin Tendulkar's daughter, Sara Tendulkar, on social media and among netizens. Though Shubman Gill has explicitly stated that he has been single for over three years, he has been linked with Sara because of the presence of Tendulkar's daughter at Gujarat Titans matches in Ahmedabad.

The internet noticed that Sara and Gill exchanged likes and comments on Instagram around 2019–20, followed by them sharing photos from similar locations.

She has also been spotted cheering for Gill in the stands during IPL matches and was seen at a 2025 charity dinner in London, which has fuelled the buzz around the two. However, despite continuous speculation, neither of them has confirmed the relationship.

Sara Ali Khan, a Bollywood actress and the daughter of actor Saif Ali Khan, was also dragged into the buzz, as the duo was spotted at a Mumbai restaurant back in 2022. However, Sara Ali Khan addressed the relationship with Gill, stating that there is no such thing between the two.

While Avneet Kaur, Ridhima Pandit, and Sonam Bajwa were also part of the dating rumours, Shubman Gill has denied all of them, officially confirming that he is still single.

Gill Shares Final Verdict On Marriage Date

The 26-year-old, who is now sporting a handsome stubble and a moustache on the field, elaborated on his marriage stance during the toss of the GT vs PBKS IPL 2026 clash.

Danny Morrison, the presenter, asked Gill whether there were any wedding bells around the corner or not. “Getting married soon, Shubh?” asked Morrison.

Gill's answer was crisp and clear as he replied that there is nothing like that on his mind. "No, nothing like that," said Gill, clarifying his stance on marriage anytime soon.

Shubman Gill And GT In IPL 2026 So Far

Gill, however, has been productive with the bat in IPL 2026, leading his team well. Gill has played eight matches so far, with 373 runs under his belt, while averaging 46.63.

In the process, Shubman Gill has managed to score three half-centuries at a strike rate of 155.42 and has stood up whenever his team needed him. As for the Gujarat Titans' campaign, they are going pretty strong on the points table, currently sitting in fifth position.

Playing nine matches, they have won five and are among the strongest contenders for the playoff spots, alongside the Rajasthan Royals and the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

With the campaign under control, the Gujarat Titans now aim to build momentum on the points table to further strengthen their chances of securing another IPL trophy after their 2022 triumph.
