The Sunrisers Hyderabad are scheduled to host the Lucknow Super Giants at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on April 4 at 3:30 PM (IST) in match 10 of IPL 2026.

In the afternoon clash of the double-header, the Sunrisers Hyderabad will look to carry the momentum they gained from their trip to Kolkata, having won the match by a huge margin of 65 runs to earn the first points of the season. On the other hand, the Lucknow Super Giants lost their season opener against the Delhi Capitals by 6 wickets.

Over the past couple of seasons, the Sunrisers have managed to turn the home stadium into a fortress, scoring freely on flatter decks, where the scoring rate has been close to 11. This is the first time they play at home this season, and a win would do the world of good to the confidence of the Orange Army, before captain Pat Cummins eventually starts his season.

As they take on the Lucknow Super Giants on Sunday afternoon, here’s a look at SRH Playing XI vs LSG.

Middle-order and All-rounders: Heinrich Klaasen, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Aniket Verma, Salil Arora, Harsh Dubey, Shivang Kumar

Nonetheless, the early signs in IPL 2026 have been good with 31(22) and 52(35) in the first two matches. He will retain his spot in this playing XI.

In the first match, Verma scored 43(18) with three fours and four sixes, while Reddy scored 39(24) with four fours and a six, followed by a 2/17 (2) with the ball, which got him the POTM in the KKR clash.

Salil Arora earned his place in the starting XI of the power-packed SRH line-up with a 358-run Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy season, striking at 199 in 8 innings. He is yet to leave a mark after two matches played, but with a win in the last match, he is likely to be given a longer rope to prove himself at the IPL stage.

Harsh Dubey, who showed his class with the ball against KKR to get rid of Finn Allen, who was off to a flier. In his short SRH career, he has proven to be a wicket-taker and can also contain runs with his lines and lengths, while also contributing with the bat. He chipped in with 9*(3) in the last match as well.

The batting line-up will be capped off by Shivang Kumar, who is a crafty left-arm wrist spinner. With a unique art mastered, he brings in a different dimension to the bowling attack, despite a wicketless debut. He picked 5 wickets in the MP T20 League 2025, bowling in 4 innings at an economy of 7.21, while scoring 120 runs at 196.72.

Bowlers: David Payne, Jaydev Unadkat

The two frontline pacers who will start for the 2016 IPL champions will be David Payne, who made his IPL debut recently and picked 2/35 against RCB. He went for plenty against Finn Allen but has been a proven performer in leagues around the world, picking 306 T20 scalps in 231 innings.
