The Lucknow Super Giants will travel to the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, for their clash against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in Match 10 of IPL 2026 on April 5 at 3:30 PM (IST).

Leading up to their second match of the season, LSG lost their season opener against the Delhi Capitals by 6 wickets after posting an underwhelming 141-run total after the first innings at home. Abdul Samad was their top run-getter with 36 off 25, followed by Mitchell Marsh’s 35 off 28.

The pace attack was the highlight of the match for them in the loss, with Mohsin Khan picking 1/19 (4) and Prince Yadav getting 2/20 (3) after the first ball wicket of KL Rahul for Mohammed Shami before ending with 1/28.

After captain Rishabh Pant fell for an unfortunate run out at the non-striker’s end in the last game, he will be raring to turn things around for himself and the LSG unit early in the season. So, here’s a look at the LSG Playing XI vs SRH.

LSG Playing XI vs SRH- IPL 2026, Match 10

Top-order: Mitchell Marsh, Rishabh Pant (c) (wk), Aiden Markram

On the back of a 627-run IPL 2025 season, Mitchell Marsh started the season opener decently with three sixes and two fours in his innings. He will continue to open the batting with his new opening partner, Rishabh Pant, who got out to an unfortunate dismissal against DC, but would back himself to come good at the top of the order.

South African captain Aiden Markram, who opened the batting last season, will bat at 3 for them. The role is nothing new for him, having batted here for the Proteas previously, and he has loads of experience to adapt to the situations across phases of the innings.

Middle-order and All-rounders: Nicholas Pooran, Ayush Badoni, Abdul Samad, Mukul Choudhary

Following the months of torrid form, Nicholas Pooran has gone from number 3 to 4 for the LSG and received a world-class delivery from Lungi Ngidi in the first match, which dismissed him. The LSG camp hopes to see the best version of Pooran in the upcoming matches, starting with the SRH clash at the venue he is familiar with.

The finishers department will be full of Indian talent, led by Ayush Badoni's calm presence at 5, who can change gears really quickly. He will be followed by Abdul Samad, who is coming off a good domestic season and top-scored in their first match.

The promising 21-year-old Mukul Choudhary will come in at 7, with a T20 strike rate of 162.31, with a reputation for hitting sixes at will. He is among the players to watch out for this season and would like to make his mark in the match against the SRH.

Bowlers: Mohammed Shami, Anrich Nortje, Prince Yadav, Mohsin Khan

The all-out pace attack will be led by the experience of Mohammed Shami and Anrich Nortje. While the latter was the most expensive bowler of the lot in the last match, the Super Giants are heavily banking on him as their marquee overseas player and will back him in the initial matches. Shami looked as good as ever for his 1/28 in the opener, doing his job to the T.

Prince Yadav, who came off a good domestic season with Delhi, has been preferred over the likes of Mayank Yadav and Avesh Khan. He kept DC in the contest in the first match with an effective spell of 2/20 (3), alongside Mohsin Khan's 1/19. Returning from a long injury layoff, Mohsin's figures at one stage read 1/6 in 3 overs. The duo will continue in the starting XI in the LSG Playing XI vs SRH.
