The ongoing edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been hit hard by rain, resulting in delayed starts, interruptions, and even washouts. Saturday could be one of those days, as Islamabad United are set to face RawalPINDIZ at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
The RP Vs IU PSL 2026 Match was scheduled as the game number 12 of the current season. As things stand, the RP Vs IU PSL 2026 Match is expected to be a delayed start; if not, it will be abandoned.

Just 1.5 hours before the scheduled start, RawalPINDIZ on Saturday provided an important Lahore weather update. The video showed there was no rain in Lahore, although the pitch as well as the ground were covered due to the rain happened a few minutes earlier.

According to AccuWeather, the Lahore sky is currently cloudy, with 100% coverage. However, there is no chance of rain during the night, so the match should go ahead even if overs are reduced.

Later in the night, there is no chance of rain in Lahore. This indicates that the RP Vs IU PSL 2026 match will happen.

Islamabad & RawalPINDIZ PSL 2026 Journey So Far
Newly-introduced RawalPINDIZ are placed second at the bottom of the points table, having lost both their games in PSL 2026. They lost to Peshawar Zalmi by five wickets in their tournament opener, and suffered another five-wicket loss in the following game, against Karachi Kings.
Islamabad United, on the other hand, have had three matches in PSL 2026. They won once, lost once and had a match washed out due to relentless rain at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
Currently, Islamabad United, led by Shadab Khan, are fifth on PSL points table.
Having registered three wins out of three, Karachi Kings are at the top of the points table. Lahore Qalandars, led by Shaheen Afridi, are second on the list, with two wins in three attempts.
Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi secure third and fourth places respectively.
