On Sunday, Punjab Kings will lock horns with Gujarat Titans in match 46 of the IPL 2026 season. The highly anticipated clash will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Led by Shreyas Iyer, Punjab Kings have been superb in the group stage, claiming the top spot in the IPL points table with six victories. However, considering they lost the previous encounter, the Kings would like to bounce back and inch closer to the IPL 2026 playoffs.
On the other hand, Gujarat Titans are still alive in the playoff race, having won five out of nine matches. Having said that, another loss will dent their chances; so, they would be keen to extend their winning streak in the tournament.
As both teams prepare for a riveting contest, here is our prediction of the PBKS playing XI vs GT for match 46 of IPL 2026.
PBKS Playing XI vs GT- Match 46, IPL 2026
Openers and Top Order: Prabhsimran Singh, Priyansh Arya, Cooper Connolly
Punjab Kings' top-order batters have come out with all guns blazing in IPL 2026. Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya have consistently provided the team with blistering starts, while Cooper Connolly has played several impactful knocks, amassing 270 runs at an average of 45 and a strike rate of 168.75.

Therefore, the PBKS playing XI Vs GT is expected to comprise the same top-order, with these three players batting brilliantly in the competition.
Middle Order and All Rounders: Shreyas Iyer, Marcus Stoinis, Nehal Wadhera, Suryansh Shedge, Marco Jansen
The experienced duo of Shreyas Iyer and Marcus Stoinis will spearhead the Punjab Kings middle order. Iyer has hammered four scintillating half-centuries, while Stoinis has been impressive with his finishing prowess.
The Australian allrounder blazed his way through to a ballistic 22-ball 62 in the previous match against Rajasthan Royals.
With Nehal Wadhera sustaining a lean patch and Shashank Singh being dropped from the playing XI, Iyer and Stoinis are expected to be the most crucial members in the middle order in the PBKS playing XI vs GT.
Despite an underwhelming IPL 2026 campaign, Marco Jansen will retain his spot as Punjab's first-choice seam-bowling allrounder in the playing XI.
Bowlers: Xavier Bartlett, Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal
Arshdeep Singh's form has been far from ideal in the IPL this season. Barring a three-wicket haul against Mumbai Indians, the experienced Indian pacer hasn't done anything significant in the competition so far.
He has managed eight wickets in as many games, while recording a miserable economy of 10.97 this year.
Although Arshdeep's lean patch raises questions over his place, the left-arm pacer is likely to retain his spot in the PBKS playing XI Vs GT for his overall performance for the franchise over the years.
Arshdeep Singh is the Punjab Kings' most successful bowler in the IPL, having bagged 105 wickets in 90 matches. So, the Shreyas Iyer-led think tank will back him to get back into his rhythm ahead of the playoffs.
Meanwhile, Lockie Ferguson could be dropped from the PBKS playing XI Vs GT after a horrible bowling performance against Rajasthan Royals. Given that the Kings failed to defend a whopping 222-run total, they might replace Ferguson with Xavier Bartlett.
Yuzvendra Chahal will continue to play as Punjab's lead spinner, with either Harpreet Brar or Vyshak Vijaykumar likely to be used as impact substitutes.
PBKS playing XI Vs GT- Prabhsimran Singh, Priyansh Arya, Cooper Connolly, Shreyas Iyer, Suryansh Shedge, Nehal Wadhera, Marcus Stoinis, Marco Jansen, Xavier Bartlett (might come in for Lockie Ferguson), Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal
