Hyderabad Kingsmen vs Karachi Kings Preview
Meanwhile, Hyderabad Kingsmen are on the brink of a possible elimination, as they’ve lost all four games in their debut PSL 2026 season. The team is new and still struggling to settle as a unit.
Their lack of harmony and ability to step up as a unit shows in their performance. With zero points, the Kingsmen are seated in seventh place on the points table.
On the other hand, Karachi Kings lost an important fixture against Peshawar Zalmi by 159 runs, which destroyed their confidence. Chasing a mighty total of 247 runs, the Kings succumbed to just 87 runs.
Despite the defeat, Karachi are still stable at the fourth spot in the points table with six points in four games.
Before the big clash, let’s see what the Hyderabad Kingsmen playing XI could look like against Karachi Kings.

Top Order - Maaz Sadaqat, Saim Ayub, Sharjeel Khan
Maaz Sadaqat and Saim Ayub are a stable pair for Hyderabad Kingsmen. However, both promising talents are yet to fire. Ayub has been a letdown with a 16.50 average.
Both need to fire anyhow in the next game to give the Kingsmen a good platform. Sharjeel Khan is also settling in at the no. 3 role. But he needs to do better soon, as time is running out for experiments.
Middle Order - Marnus Labuschagne, Kusal Perera, Usman Khan, Irfan Khan
Hyderabad Kingsmen’s middle order has to change. For starters, Marnus Labuschagne must come up the order, as the no. 5 spot is clearly not working for him.
Kusal Perera finally got a chance to play in the last game, and he performed well, scoring 58 off 35 balls, including 5 fours and 2 sixes. Hence, seeing his good form, he can be pushed up the order.
As for no. 6, Usman Khan must be demoted. He has been in poor form and even got dismissed on a golden duck in the last game.
Irfan Khan has shown promise, scoring 68 runs. However, he must finish better to ensure Hyderabad Kingsmen get a good total on the board.
Bowlers - Riley Meredith, Maheesh Theekshana, Hunain Shah, Mohammad Ali
Hyderabad Kingsmen’s change in the chase game to bring Hassan Khan in for Riley Meredith didn’t do any wonder. Dropping Meredith was a senseless call, as he has been Kingsmen’s best bowler of the PSL 2026 season, with 5 wickets.
Hence, Riley Meredith must get another chance here. Maheesh Theekshana had an off-day, but he is experienced and can find his way back.
Hunain Shah also bowled well in the last game, picking up a single wicket for 32 runs. He will be backed for this game as well.
Mohammad Ali, meanwhile, bowled extremely well against Peshawar Zalmi, conceding 16 runs in 3 overs while getting one wicket. Hence, his place in the playing XI is secured as well.
