In match no. 18 of the PSL 2026 season, Rawalpindiz will be up against Quetta Gladiators on Friday, April 10. The game will be held at the National Stadium in Karachi at 7:30 PM IST.
The PSL 2026 season has entered its second phase as the caravan shifts to Karachi after the Lahore leg. This will be the third game at the venue, and the wicket is expected to be fresh.
Rawalpindiz vs Quetta Gladiators Match Preview
Meanwhile, this is a do-or-die game for the Rawalpindiz as they’ve lost four games in a row. They are still searching for their maiden victory in PSL and are currently seated at the bottom of the table.
The team is collectively lacking in stepping up, especially the bowlers, as they’ve consistently failed to defend totals. If Rawalpindiz fail to win this game, their playoff chances will slim further.
On the other hand, Quetta Gladiators have lost their last two games and slipped to sixth spot on the points table. The batting unit has been inconsistent, but the bowlers are again lacking in defending totals.
With the playoff race heating up, the Gladiators have to step up and get back to winning ways fast.
Before the game begins, let’s look at how the Rawalpindiz playing XI could shape up against Quetta Gladiators.

Rawalpindiz Likely Playing XI vs Quetta Gladiators - PSL 2026, Match 18
Top Order - Mohammad Rizwan, Yasir Khan, Kamran Ghulam
Rawalpindiz’ top-order is settled, with Mohammad Rizwan opening the innings with Yasir Khan. While Yasir has scored a half-century previously, Rizwan is struggling big time with 83 runs in 4 games.
Rizwan has to come back in form for the Rawalpindiz to finally see some positive results in the PSL. At no. 3, Kamran Ghulam will come to bat. He has scored 132 runs in 4 games with an over 140 strike rate. However, Ghulam is yet to play an impactful knock that is beneficial for Rawalpindiz.
Middle Order - Abdullah Fazal, Daryl Mitchell, Sam Billings, Dian Forrester
As for the middle-order, Abdullah Fazal is still taking his time to settle in. But Rawalpindiz will back him for the lack of better alternatives on the bench.
Daryl Mitchell has scored 124 runs so far in the tournament with a 153 strike rate. He has been inconsistent, but on his day, Mitchell can crack the game open for Rawalpindiz.
Sam Billings has been Rawalpindiz’s best batter in PSL 2026 with 139 runs at a 157 strike rate. Even in the last game, he scored 56 off 34 balls.
Dian Forrester has started well with 68 runs in 2 games. But he also needs a long rope to settle in, and hence the franchise should back him for this game against the Quetta Gladiators.
Bowlers - Rishad Hossain, Asif Afridi, Mohammad Amir Khan, Mohammad Amir
Rishad Hossain is Rawalpindiz’ key spinner but has struggled to fetch wickets. In four games, he has only 2 wickets. But again, his experience will save his place in the playing XI. Asif Afridi will support Hossain in the spin department.
As for fast bowling, the Rawalpindiz faced a huge blow when they lost Naseem Shah to side strain. Ben Sears has been signed as a replacement, but he has yet to join the squad.
Hence, for this game, Mohammad Amir Khan and Mohammad Amir will continue to lead the pace attack. The latter will be the key with the new ball, as he has picked 5 wickets in 4 games. Amir is by far the franchise’s best bowler.
