But Chahal has now spoken openly about the noise, the trolling, and how he chooses to deal with all of it.

In a recent conversation with India Today, Yuzvendra Chahal said he has learned to live with attention as part of the job. He acknowledged that being in the public eye means people will talk about you, and sometimes it gets intrusive.

“I don’t mind it a little bit as long as it’s about me, in a good, positive way, or even in a fun way. That’s part of the profession. You’re in the public eye, and people will talk. When you start associating someone else’s name with it, that’s when it becomes wrong. They don’t know anything about it, and suddenly they’re being discussed for no reason,” Chahal said.

However, the spinner said he doesn’t mind positive talk or even light fun. The issue begins when people start dragging others into stories without their knowledge.

Chahal puts importance on perspective 

Yuzvendra Chahal also made it clear that ordinary things like meeting friends can be misread and blown out of proportion.

“It’s not necessary that if a boy and a girl are going out, they’re boyfriend and girlfriend or that something is going on. Sometimes you’re just meeting friends. I don’t even know who invited me or how it became such a big deal. I just went out for dinner. That’s it. I can adjust, but what about family?” he added.

The spinner explained that such assumptions hurt more when they involve people close to him or those who are not public figures.

“I can adjust. I don’t care. But my sisters are also there with me. My parents are also there. They read these things. How many things will you silence? Whoever wants to print it, let them print it. I’m getting free publicity. I’m in the news for free. Let it be.”

The RJ Mahvash and Shefali Bagga buzz explained

Yuzvendra Chahal's silence came after months of dating rumours that first began with his association with RJ Mahvash. The two were frequently seen together during IPL matches and other events, which sparked online speculation about a possible relationship.

Fans even noted that the pair unfollowed each other on Instagram, adding fuel to the fire. Despite repeated online talk, both Chahal and Mahvash maintained that they were just friends. 

Mahvash also shared upbeat videos and supportive messages on social media, but neither has confirmed any romantic link publicly.

Later, Yuzvendra Chahal was spotted with Bigg Boss 13 star Shefali Bagga, which once again drew attention online. AI-generated posters featuring Chahal alongside Bagga, Mahvash, and his ex-wife circulated widely, showing how quickly speculation can spread. 

Bagga herself slammed these fake posters as disgusting and shameful, emphasising how harmful online trolling can be.
