Namibia are set to conclude their T20 World Cup preparations against India A on February 6 at the Centre of Excellence, Bengaluru, at 5 pm (IST). Heading into the last warm-up match ahead of the tournament, Namibia defeated Scotland in their first match at the same venue, clinching a high-scoring thriller by 6 runs.

On the other hand, India A faced the USA and convincingly defeated them by 38 runs at the DY Patil Stadium on February 2. As the teams collide on Friday, we take a look at all the match predictions for the warm-up match.

India A vs Namibia: Player battles

Priyansh Arya vs Ruben Trumpelmann

The explosive Indian opener Priyansh Arya likes to go all guns blazing early in the innings to give his team a blistering start. He will be up against the Namibian left-arm quick Ruben Trumpelmann, who has experience of playing multiple T20 World Cups.

The bowler operates well with the new ball, finding a bit of movement, and the winner of this battle will have a chance to put their team in front.

Ayush Badoni vs JJ Smit

The India A skipper, Ayush Badoni, will be up against the former Namibian skipper JJ Smit, who operates in all phases of the innings generally. However, in the last match, he bowled the crucial overs in the second half while defending the target, and this battle could dictate the fate of the match in Bengaluru.

Jan Frylinck vs Mayank Yadav

Jan Frylinck was Namibia's 2nd highest run-scorer in the qualifying campaign with 193 runs at a strike rate of 183.80 at the top of the lineup. He also carried that form into India and scored 88 off 44 with 13 fours and three sixes. He will be up against the express pace of Mayank Yadav, who will want to make a mark as he comes back after a long injury layoff.

The teams have not faced each other before the upcoming match. Hence, there is no previous head-to-head record.

India A vs Namibia toss prediction

Not a lot of T20 cricket has been played at the COE stadium, which was inaugurated in September 2024 by the BCCI. But from what was evident in the Vijay Hazare Trophy games, it is a good venue to chase targets. After possible early troubles through pacers, the ball will come nicely onto the bat under the lights in the second innings.

India A vs Namibia Match Winner Prediction: Who will win the T20 World Cup warm-up match?

Namibia were all over Scotland during the first innings of their cliffhanger a couple of days ago, and that approach can be expected once again against India A. They will want to send shockwaves through Group A ahead of the T20 World Cup kick-off.

On the other hand, India A stars will want to show their mettle against a confident opponent to climb up the stairs towards the senior team. Overall, it is expected to be an exciting match, but considering the qualities of both teams, India A might edge over the Africans on Friday evening.
