Sunrisers Hyderabad will host Delhi Capitals in the match number 31 of the ongoing IPL 2026 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. The Ishan Kishan-led SRH will look to make the home advantage count against an inconsistent DC.
SRH have played six games so far, winning three and losing three. Meanwhile, the Capitals, playing five, have also won three. Both teams will look to maintain the winning momentum coming into the clash.
Ahead the SRH vs DC game, the two teams have been hampered by injuries and player availability. DC, who have already been dealing with the unavailability of Mitchell Starc, now face further trouble with the injury to their captain, Axar Patel.

During DC’s latest outing against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday, Axar Patel was forced to walk off the field, retired hurt after he suffered cramps in the match. Axar’s injury looked serious when the Delhi Capitals captain skipped the post-match presser.
However, the team director gave a key update on Axar’s injury, saying, “Axar Patel has had a cramo, he will be fit for the next game.”

Thus, DC captain, Axar Patel, will most likely play today’s IPL 2026 game between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
What’s the latest update on Pat Cummins IPL 2026 participation?
The 2016 IPL winners, SRH, have been without the services of Pat Cummins since the start of the tournament. The Australian captain has been out of action since July 2025 after his back injury worsened.
Earlier, Cummins had joined Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 24, 2026. He arrived in Bengaluru to begin rehabilitation with the team’s medical staff after sustaining a back injury, with plans to lead the team during the 2026 season.
Moreover, earlier this month, Cummins reportedly left the team’s camp to return home to Australia for a scheduled scan of his back stress injury under the supervision of Cricket Australia (CA). However, he finally joined the team on Friday, April 17.
Will Pat Cummins play SRH vs DC match today in IPL 2026?
Though Cummins has joined the SRH squad on April 17, he did not play the clash against Chennai Super Kings. According to fresh reports of he is fully fit and ready to go.
Last week, Sunrisers Hyderabad head coach Daniel Vettori clarified that all-time skipper Pat Cummins, who has been managing his workload and fitness, will only be available for selection from April 25, when SRH take on Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur.
Thus, Pat Cummins will most likely not play today’s IPL 2026 SRH vs DC game at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
