Following the win, Suryakumar Yadav emulated Rohit Sharma and put the Ahmedabad pitch soil on his forehead to celebrate the special moment. Notably, after the Men in Blue won 2024 T20 World Cup title in Barbados, the hitman had tasted the soil, a moment that went viral on social media.
Similarly, SKY too emulated his senior and somehow turned the moment into a tradition. Further, it also signified that the team buried the ghosts of 2023 World Cup final, a defeat that still haunts the Men in Blue at this venue.

Suryakumar Yadav Fails With Bat But Leads With Example
It was not the ideal final for Suryakumar Yadav as the right-handed batter registered a golden duck. However, he was on-point with his leadership. The bowling rotation and on spot thinking were remarkable, which is why the Men in Blue lifted their third title.
Talking about the recently concluded final, New Zealand won the toss and opted to field first. The decision turned out to be a nightmare because India went all guns blazing. Abhishek Sharma returned to form and slammed a 18-ball fifty, which is the fastest in the finals in the history of the tournament.
Despite Abhishek's courageous fifty, Sanju Samson again stole the limelight as he again slammed 89 (46), which featured five fours and eight sixes. The duo stitched a quickfire 98-run opening stand.
Ishan Kishan also scored a fifty and eventually India put 255 runs on the board. In reply, New Zealand lost wickets at regular intervals and Jasprit Bumrah's masterclass helped India seal a 96 run win.
