Ravindra Jadeja's new celebration vs Jos Buttler [Source: IPL/X]
Ravindra Jadeja has looked in some fine bowling form throughout the IPL 2026, conceding at just 7.84 runs per over since his return to the Rajasthan Royals. His brilliant bowling was once again on display against the Gujarat Titans as he faced the explosive Jos Buttler, when the visitors had a chance of running away with the match in Jaipur.
In a four-pointer match, with both teams eyeing to secure a playoff spot, RR had come in with no wins at the venue this season, and once again, the visitors got off to a great start. As Ravindra Jadeja dismissed the dangerous Buttler early in his innings, he gave his team a chance to restrict the opponents under a par total.
Knowing the importance of the scalp, Jadeja made sure to bring out a brand-new celebration to send the GT wicketkeeper off and grab all the attention.

In an all-important fixture, where GT was coming in with three wins on the bounce, they were put in to bat by Yashasvi Jaiswal, who is leading RR for the first time. Despite losing the toss, the Titans got off to a brilliant start in the match with a 118-run opening stand.
Jos Buttler had a great platform, where he could have run away with the match at a brisk pace, making his wicket of utmost importance. Using his experience, Jadeja tossed up a ball outside off to bait the batter, and Buttler fell for it, miscuing the shot at the 13.2 over mark. Donovan Ferreira completed a regulation catch, and Buttler had to go for 13(10).

Jadeja’s impressive IPL 2026
Jadeja’s move from CSK to RR was among the most talked-about topics ahead of IPL 2026. He had a thing or two to prove to everyone as a white-ball player. Since joining the team, he has bowled in 9 innings, picking 8 wickets, including a 2/18 (3) vs his former team, CSK.
On the night against GT, he once again exhibited great defensive bowling against the run of play and finished with 1/34 in his four overs. So far, he is the only RR bowler to concede under 8 runs per over this season. The next best bowler, in terms of economy rate, is Jofra Archer, who has gone for 9.12 runs per over.
With the bat, Jadeja has scored 152 runs in 7 innings — a couple of them coming in a precarious position. His 43*(29) against LSG were instrumental in RR winning the match as well.
GT mount a record total in Jaipur
The Sawai Mansingh Stadium has been a high-scoring venue in IPL 2026, with 220+ scores chased twice — RR losing both the games.
This time around, GT have scored 229/4 in 20 overs, which is the highest first innings score at the venue in IPL history. Captain Jaiswal and co. will have a task cut out for them to chase this score on the night.
