BCCI has dropped a massive hint regarding the possible debut of Rajasthan Royals star opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. RCB champion cricketer Tim David has been penalised by the BCCI for his on-field misconduct in the IPL 2026 final.

BCCI drop hint on Vaibhav Sooryavanshi debut
BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia has dropped a huge hint on the international debut of rising star Vaibhav Sooryavanshi after his IPL 2026 heroics.
After the final, Saikia said “He is a wonderful player coming up, and he has a bright future ahead. The BCCI will do everything possible to help him reach the highest level of cricket.”

Apart from winning the ‘Orange Cap’ in IPL 2026, Sooryavanshi was also the ‘Player of the Tournament’ in India’s U19 World Cup win earlier this year.
Shai Hope to lead as WI name squad for SL series
Cricket West Indies has named a strong 15-player squad for the upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka. Shai Hope will continue to lead the side, and he will be accompanied by fellow star performers like Roston Chase, Shimron Hetmyer, Shamar Joseph, Sherfane Rutherford, Keacy Carty, Matthew Forde among others.
The ODI series between the two sides will be played between June 3 and June 8 this month in Jamaica.
Shaun Tait likely to leave Bangladesh role before AUS series
Bangladesh fast bowling coach Shaun Tait will likely depart from his role ahead of their upcoming home white-ball series against Australia. The former Australian cricketer has reportedly informed about his intentions to the BCB.
A source close to the BCB said that Tait is “not ready” to re-join the Bangladesh team as bowling coach owing to personal reasons. It is worth noting that the former paceman has reportedly expressed his desire in joining the Bengal domestic team in India.
Tim David punished by BCCI
Hard-hitting Australian cricketer Tim David has been slapped with a 50 percent of his match fees for breaching Level 1 of the IPL's Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials.
The RCB batter was found to have breached Article 2.9 of the IPL Code of Conduct during the IPL 2026 final against the Gujarat Titans at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. David also accumulated two demerit points for his misconduct.
Mumbai Indians, CSK congratulate RCB for IPL 2026 win
Mumbai Indians and CSK franchises have congratulated the Rajat Patidar-led RCB side for winning the IPL 2026 season in Ahmedabad. Both franchises released official statements on social media shortly after the high-octane final.
Notably, RCB scripted history by becoming only the third side in IPL history to win successive titles, joining Mumbai Indians and CSK in the process.
