The WPL 2027 mini auction, held on October 28, 2026, at the Grand Hyatt in Kochi, saw UP Warriorz as the only side with real money to work with, holding nearly half the total purse in the room.
UP Warriorz bolstered their team for WPL 2027 by signing eight cricketers at the auction, with Aussie all-rounder Sophie Molineux emerging as their biggest buy at Rs 1.1 crore.
The team signed Asha Sobhana Joy, Sahana Pawar, Manali Dakshini and Scotland all-rounder Kathryn Bryce as well, completing their team alongside 10 retained cricketers.
The updated team comprises 10 retained cricketers and eight auction signings. The Rs 2.6 crore expenditure covers just the recruits and doesn’t reflect the total team cost or the full auction purse.
