Gujarat Giants WPL 2027 Matches Venue
The Gujarat Giants are scheduled to play the first five of the total 8 league matches at the Vadodara International Cricket Stadium, Vadodara. For their remaining 3 games, the caravan will move to the Cricket Club of India, Mumbai, before the playoffs.
Gujarat Giants entered the WPL 2027 auction with a purse of Rs. 1.25 crore and three slots to fill, including one overseas player. With limited funds, the team had little room to make changes to their squad.
Their first signing was G Kamalini, who was released by Mumbai Indians, for Rs 40 lakh. Born in Madurai, the 18-year-old left-handed wicketkeeper is regarded as one of India’s promising Indian talents.
GG next signed Irish all-rounder Orla Prendergast, who will make her WPL debut. She brings experience from international cricket and franchise leagues.
The franchise completed their squad by signing young Delhi batter Samaira Raghav for her base price of Rs 10 lakh, leaving Rs. 45 lakh in its purse.
