According to report in Geo Super, Sri Lanka Cricket has confirmed that it will play in the series while on tour in Pakistan. Pakistan to play 3 T20Is, 2 Tests vs Sri Lanka
Prior to the tri-series in October, Sri Lanka will play three Twenty20 Internationals, according to the Future Tours Programme. This will provide both teams a chance to practice in the shorter format before the 50-over match starts.
As part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship cycle for 2025–2027, Sri Lanka and Pakistan will concentrate on a two-match Test series in November after the ODI series.
The three T20Is are expected to be held in October ahead of the tri-series, while the two-match Test series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka is likely to take place in November. This update coincides with the Australian cricket team's anticipated trip to Pakistan for a three-match ODI series in advance of the 2027 Cricket World Cup.
