Lomror, Ahir replace Quinton, Bawa in Mumbai Indians
The Mumbai Indians franchise has signed Mahipal Lomror and Ruchit Ahir as replacements of Quinton de Kock and Raj Angad Bawa respectively for the remainder of the IPL 2026 season. Both Quinton and Bawa have been ruled out of the tournament owing to their injuries.

It is worth noting that Mumbai Indians only has one match remaining in the bank, in the form of a home Rajasthan Royals fixture on May 24.
Jacob Bethell’s finger injury ends IPL 2026 stint
Young England all-rounder Jacob Bethell has been ruled out of the remainder of the IPL 2026 season for the RCB franchise. The cricketer has suffered a finger injury, which has now also put his availability for the upcoming Lord’s Test against New Zealand in doubt.
Bethell played seven matches this IPL 2026 for the RCB, scoring just 96 runs at a dismal average of 13.71 before flying back home.
Sophie Devine and Maddy Green pound England
New Zealand Women slipped to 11-4 in the second T20I in Canterbury against England, before middle-order batters Sophie Devine and Maddy Green shared a record 159-run partnership for the fifth wicket. While Devine scored 87 off 57 balls, Green made 56* off 48 as New Zealand reached 170-5 in 20 overs.
Their partnership also marked a record occasion for New Zealand, and it headlined the team’s comprehensive 14-run win.
Shreyas Iyer tons up as PBKS end losing streak
Punjab Kings decimated LSG by seven wickets in just 18 overs at Lucknow’s Ekana Cricket Stadium in match 68 of the IPL 2026 season. The outcome marked Punjab Kings’ first win after a string of six defeats to remain in contention for the playoffs.
Captain Shreyas Iyer led his side from the front with a regal ton, cracking 101* off 51 balls as Punjab Kings made lightwork of LSG’s 196-run total.
Delhi Capitals crash out of IPL 2026 playoffs race
Punjab Kings’ comprehensive win over LSG also knocked Delhi Capitals out of the IPL 2026 playoffs race. Under the leadership of all-rounder Axar Patel, the Capitals franchise has secured just six wins and seven defeats from 13 matches. With 12 points and a dismal NRR of -0.871, the Capitals are currently sitting eighth on the 10-team points table.
The Delhi-based franchise also became the fourth side this season to get eliminated from the top four race, joining CSK, Mumbai Indians and LSG.
