Rohit Sharma tons up in India’s decider vs England

Rohit Sharma notched up an 84-ball century against England in the series-deciding third ODI. The legendary opener also became the first Indian men’s cricketer to score an ODI century at the iconic Lord’s in London.

The innings marked Sharma’s 34th century in the format, as he kept India in the hunt during their monumental 388-run chase against the hosts. Team India, however, lost the match to concede the series 1-2.

Tanzid Hasan stars as Bangladesh wins series 2-1

Bangladesh defeated hosts Zimbabwe by four wickets in a thrilling and controversy-struck last-over finish in the series-deciding third T20I in Bulawayo. With the outcome, the visitors also sealed the three-match series by a 2-1 margin.

For Bangladesh, star opening batter Tanzid Hasan composed 66* runs off just 58 balls with one four and four sixes as the visitors blazed past Zimbabwe’s 143-run total with two balls to spare. 

Sunil Narine comes up clutch for Los Angeles Knight Riders in MLC 2026 final

The Los Angeles Knight Riders (LAKR) franchise pipped Washington Freedom by just one run in the final of the MLC 2026 season in Oakland. The outcome handed the Knight Riders franchise its first-ever MLC title. 

Sunil Narine won the ‘Player of the Match’ award for wrecking Freedom’s top-order with a sizzling three-wicket haul, claiming figures of 3-13 from his four overs. Earlier, Andre Fletcher top-scored for the Knight Riders with 47 from just 27 balls.

Abishek Porel to be arrested 

Delhi Capitals star Abishek Porel is facing several non-bailable offences under the BNS. The Kolkata High Court has now strictly asked to police to arrest the 23-year-old, even though the youngster has denied all accusations levied against him.

Porel has been accused of cohabiting with a woman based on an assurance of marriage. The judiciary has also ordered the police to seize electronic devices to protect the victim’s identity, as reported by Subahayan Chakroborty.

Cricket Australia to train Abhishek Moond and Vasudev Prasad Singh

India’s emerging fast bowlers Abhishek Moond and Vasudev Prasad Singh have been chosen to train with members of the Australian Test squad later this year in Brisbane. The two speedsters are part of the MRF Pace Foundation’s four-member team, which will travel to Australia for the high-performance program. 

The delegation team also includes former Indian cricketer Tinu Yohannan and M. Senthilnathan, who serves as the program manager of the Pace Foundation.
