Fans slam India's bowling [Source: x]
Team India bowlers took a heavy beating at the hands of England’s all-firing top-order in the series-deciding third ODI at Lord’s in London on Sunday, July 11. With England winning the toss and inviting India to field first, ‘Men in Blue’ bowlers have been made to toil from the outset.
The Indian team management also seemingly committed a blunder of sorts by fielding only five specialist bowlers and not a single part-timer who can operate as a sixth bowler. Nonetheless, India’s timid show at Lord’s has now sparked an outpouring of criticism from fans on social media, with many questioning the team selection and the bowlers' lacklustre performance.
Fans slam Jasprit Bumrah-less India bowling for Lord’s horror
India’s bowling attack, without the services of experienced paceman Jasprit Bumrah, has been put to the sword by England’s all-firing top-order in the third ODI of the series at Lord’s in London.
Batting first, England openers Ben Duckett and Jacob Bethell put up a monumental 192-run partnership in just 30 overs, with the former shaping up a royal-esque century for himself.

For India, inexperienced fast bowlers Prince Yadav and Gurnoor Brar, as well as seasoned pro Arshdeep Singh and star spinner Axar Patel have so far proven to be ineffective against England on a seemingly batting-friendly Lord’s surface.
Several Indian cricket fans have now taken to X to express their frustration over certain team combination and management decisions, especially with the 2027 World Cup in South Africa barely a year away. Here is a look at some of the fans reacting to the timid show of the Indian bowlers against England in the series-decider.
"Selector Ajit Agarkar & moreso Gautam Gambhir should be sacked for not selecting a good team against England.Even Ace Spinner like Kuldeep Yadav is not picked up.Where is Hardik Pandya & Jadeja. How will we perform in the World Cup. Are there no Good Bowlers in the Co

Why is Jasprit Bumrah not playing?
Legendary Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was rested from the playing XI of the third ODI by India’s team management. The BCCI confirmed the same by stating that Bumrah has suffered an impact injury on his left knee while fielding in the second ODI of the series in Cardiff earlier this week.
It is worth noting that even though Jasprit Bumrah has picked up just two wickets in two matches of the series before his injury, the experienced paceman maintained an impressive economy rate of just four an over.
He even holds a formidable record against England’s Ben Duckett, who went on to chart a thunderous century in the speedster’s absence.
With Bumrah recovering from his injury, the Indian team management named inexperienced Prince Yadav as his replacement.
Prasidh Krishna leads lone Indian fight as England mount over 300
Arshdeep Singh bowled out his 10 overs at an expense of 72 runs, while fellow senior pro Axar Patel conceded 61 wicketless runs in his 10 overs.
Prince Yadav leaked 63 runs off his nine overs, albeit with the wicket of Ben Duckett. Gurnoor Brar also went expensive with dismal figures of 0-74 before sending down his final over.
For India, Prasidh Krishna emerged as his team’s only standout performer on the big day with two big wickets. The speedster even bowled two maidens at one stage to keep England’s run-scoring in check from his end.
At the time of publishing, England raced to 324-3 in 47 overs.
