Ravindra Jadeja has joined the Rajasthan Royals in style, as the legendary all-rounder recently received a “royal” tribute from the franchise. Draped in traditional Rajasthani attire and stepping onto the stage like Akshaye Khanna’s character, the cricketer greeted the audience with a cheerful “Khamma Ghani, Rajasthan,” mirroring how Rehman Dakait addressed the crowd with “Assalam Walekum, Lyari” during his political rally in the film Dhurandhar.

Ravindra Jadeja gears up for Rajasthan Royals homecoming
Ravindra Jadeja was traded in by the Rajasthan Royals late last year from the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The seasoned all-rounder was traded from CSK to the Royals for a staggering sum of Rs. 14 crores prior to the IPL 2026 auction.
Incidentally, the move also marks a homecoming for Jadeja, who began his IPL career with the Rajasthan Royals back in 2008.
Prior to the lucrative trade last November, the Saurashtra cricketer spent 12 of the last 14 editions of the IPL with MS Dhoni’s CSK camp. He also played a couple of IPL seasons for the Gujarat Lions back in 2016 and 2017 during CSK’s exile from the tournament.
Under the leadership of late Shane Warne, Ravindra Jadeja was a crucial member of the Rajasthan Royals squad that lifted the inaugural IPL title back in 2008. In his two-year stint with the franchise, the cricketer scored 430 runs in 22 innings and picked up six wickets through his left-arm spin.
