Ravindra Jadeja, who was traded from Chennai Super Kings to the Rajasthan Royals ahead of IPL 2026 auction, has been carrying a new look overall with short-cropped hair and a full beard. With this new look, Jadeja also unlocked a new celebration in the RR vs LSG clash.
Jadeja Traps Nicholas Pooran With Witty Spell
As Pooran, the Caribbean power-hitter currently struggling for form, was dismissed in the 10th over while chasing Rajasthan Royals' 160-run target, Ravindra Jadeja cooked up a special celebration for the reputed finisher.
On the fourth delivery of the 10th over, Jadeja bowled full on off stump. The ball drifted across the left-hander at 99.9 kph. Nicholas Pooran tried to clear his front leg and went for a big hit down the ground after being frustrated with a paltry score of 22 runs from 24 deliveries.
However, he couldn't connect properly, and the ball went straight up in the air. Donovan Ferreira at long-off came underneath it and took a simple catch in the deep.

Creative Jadeja ‘Pockets’ Pooran In RR vs LSG IPL Clash
As soon as the batter was dismissed, Ravindra Jadeja was seen celebrating aggressively. Jadeja pointed both of his hands towards Nicholas Pooran and then aimed those fingers at his own pocket to signify that he had literally and symbolically pocketed the LSG hitter.
Although it seemed like an aggressive celebration, Jadeja neutralised any harsh feelings with a large smile soon after, with Pooran also walking off without any fuss towards the pavilion.
Ravindra Jadeja’s IPL 2026 Season So Far
Jadeja has been a solid all-rounder for the Rajasthan Royals so far. In IPL 2026, Jadeja has scored 127 runs from five innings at an impressive average of 63.50, with scores like 43 and 45 under his belt.
With the ball, he has been equally impactful, taking six wickets at a tight economy rate of 6.62 and a strike rate of 13.00, underlining his effectiveness in both departments that have led Rajasthan to multiple match wins.
While Jadeja has been playing his part for the Royals in pink, the top order in the RR vs LSG clash didn't impress at the Ekana Cricket Stadium on April 22.

Rajasthan Royals Crumbled under LSG's Bowling Attack
The top order comprising Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi collapsed inside four overs, with the Rajasthan Royals at 32/3. Skipper Riyan Parag and Shimron Hetmyer were dismissed soon after, leaving Rajasthan Royals at 77/5 at the end of 10.2 overs.
It was only Ravindra Jadeja and Shubham Dubey's late-order efforts that helped the team post a respectable total of 159 runs. If not for Jadeja, the Royals might have registered one of the lowest totals in IPL history.
Nevertheless, Rajasthan Royals bowlers have been striking back just like LSG. After 12 overs, the Royals had already taken four wickets of the injury-marred Rishabh Pant-led side, with the skipper and Aiden Markram both dismissed for ducks.
