Comedy of Errors often takes all the center stage on the cricket field. Such was the Thursday evening when KKR were up against SRH in Match 6 of IPL 2026, and the men who made all the headlines due to unwanted reasons were Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Rinku Singh.

The incident happened during the sixth over of KKR’s innings when Raghuvanshi was on strike, facing Eshan Malinga. The Sri Lankan bowled a full delivery at a slow pace outside off stump, which Raghuvanshi played straight.

The ball hit Malinga’s boot before Raghuvanshi called for a quick run. Green responded straightaway, going for a single, while Raghuvanshi was late to say ‘NO.’

By then, Green was on his way towards the non-striker’s end, and Malinga broke the stumps at the bowling end to confirm one of the KKR batters was dismissed.

Then the drama unfolded.

Umpire Brings Back Angkrish Raghuvanshi After Run Out

Initially, Raghuvanshi was given out following a terrible mix-up between him and KKR’s 25.2 crore buy Green. However, the replay showed Green did not cross Raghuvanshi when the stumps were broken.

As a result, the umpires brought Raghuvanshi back and told Green he was out.

Kolkata Vs Hyderabad Lose Balance

At the time of writing this, KKR slowly lost their control against Hyderabad at Eden Gardens. With Angkrish Raghuvanshi losing his wicket after another terrible mix-up, this time with Rinku Singh, the Knight Riders saw Anukul Roy falling for a two-ball duck.

At this moment, KKR are 120/5 after 11.2 overs, with Rinku Singh and Ramandeep Singh in the middle.

Earlier, SRH made 226/8 in 20 overs, with Heinrich Klaasen stealing the show with a 35-ball 52. Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head batted brilliantly as well, making 40s to get them off to a perfect start.

After that, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Klaasen held the fort, taking their side past 220.

For Kolkata, Blessing Muzarabani and Vaibhav Arora did the most damage, sharing six wickets between them. While Arora finished with 2/47, Muzarabani returned figures of 4/41, which included a double-wicket over that consisted of Abhishek and Ishan’s wickets.

Raghuvanshi Rises, Green Falls

Talking about KKR, Angkrish Raghuvanshi got off to an excellent start in IPL 2026. The 21-year-old, who is playing as a wicket-keeper this season, made 51 off 29 balls at Wankhede Stadium versus Mumbai Indians.

Against SRH, Raghuvanshi carried on the momentum, smashing 52 off 29 deliveries with six fours and two sixes before losing his wicket in an unfortunate manner.

Green, on the other hand, had a dismal start in the ongoing edition after bagging a lucrative contract from KKR.

The big tall Australian, who is yet to bowl in IPL, made 18 off 10 deliveries against MI, followed by a 2-ball 2 against SRH.
