The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has assembled a star-studded commentary panel for the upcoming PSL 2026. In a season where the board and franchises are struggling to keep hold of their overseas players due to last-minute withdrawals or injuries, the presence of several international commentators comes as a significant boost to the league’s global appeal.
Incidentally, the PCB confirmed the commentary panel for the PSL 2026 season mere days after confirming that the entire tournament will be played behind closed doors.
PCB unveil commentary panel, overseas stars included
Former West Indies all-rounder Carlos Brathwaite is set to make his commentary debut in PSL through the upcoming 2026 season in Pakistan. Brathwaite, who was part of the West Indies team that lifted 2016 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, has already commentated in ICC tournaments, such as the recently-concluded 2026 T20 event in India and Sri Lanka.
Ex-Australian cricketer Greg Blewett will also be commentating in PSL for the first time this season along with Brathwaite.
Among other major overseas voices, the PCB has selected Mike Haysman, Dominic Cork, Mark Butcher, Nick Knight, JP Duminy and Lisa Sthalekar. Bangladesh’s Athar Ali Khan is also included in the star-studded PSL 2026 panel.

PSL to be played behind closed doors
Over the weekend, the PCB also made a huge announcement regarding the scheduling of the PSL 2026 season. As opposed to the earlier confirmation, the upcoming tournament will be played behind closed doors.
Moreover, only two venues will be hosting the entire PSL, i.e., in the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and the National Stadium in Karachi. The board has also confirmed that they will be making the necessary refunds to the fans who had purchased match tickets.
